So cute

The storybook itself was flimsy cardboard paper and didn’t last 2 seconds with my toddler. May be more suitable for bigger kids who take interest in reading and not destroying things. Otherwise the actual characters were so cute and spot on. My toddler love them all. I will say be careful with smaller pieces because it can be a choking hazard for littles.

Great toy play set for kids!

Set came as expected, and there is many pieces included. Our kids like the sat and have been playing it ever since it came. The boat is actually below the pieces as we couldn’t find it at first, then you need to build the boat.

Wonderful!

The perfect set for any moana fan! It comes with moana, her father, Maui, grandma, hei hei, and pua, plus an oar for the boat and Maui’s hook, both of which they can hold in their hand. Moana is the only character that is pose-able. Her arms move and she can sit. Her skirt is also a shimmery fabric, which is a nice touch. You can use the box itself as a back drop (as well as storage), and if you lift up the inner liner of the box you will find the sheet of cut outs to make the boat and palm tree. The water cutout is attached to the inside of the box. They are just cardboard so I don’t know how long they will hold up, but five and up should be able to take care of them for a decent amount of time. All characters stand on their own. There is also an instruction sheet to show how to assemble the boat. Overall this is a very nice set. My little girl was thrilled. She is a huge Disney fan, and has several character sets from our trips to the parks, but she didn’t have any moana prior to this. She loves being able to reenact scenes from the movie. Highly recommend.

High quality figurines

The figurines in this play set are well made and beautifully detailed. The facial features and tattoos are especially impressive. Even the pig and rooster are nicely done. Moana has a fabric skirt, but everything else in the box is plastic. The Moana doll appears to be the only one whose arms and legs are quite freely movable. The two male characters have jointed heads and arms, but either they aren't intended to rotate or they are too stiff to bother. Not being a Disney Princess expert myself, I'm not familiar with Moana's story, but I'm sure this would be a terrific gift for a young Moana fan. In fact, any kid with an imagination would be sufficiently intrigued by these characters to make up their own adventures about them, even if they never saw the movie. The box doubling as a backdrop is a cool concept, but I don't think the cardboard is durable enough to survive for long.

Fantastic gift set

I received this to give to my niece to play with when she comes to visit. It's a great figurine set. I doubt she will use the scene included in the box much but the characters are the perfect size for little hands. The packaging is very giftable and makes it look like it would be the perfect Disney gift for a birthday party or holiday. I will say that the implication is that you save the packaging so that kids can play with it as a backdrop but I've never been one to do that so it's unlikely that it would be preserved for more than a day. If you're planning on doing that just know this is your typical cardboard/plastic packaging and there's nothing special or heavy duty about it. All in all I think it's great for imaginative play.

Garbage

Half the dolls can't stand on their own, hook and paddle keep falling out, boat is just a piece of cardboard and is tiny. Not worth the price.
