Purchased as a Christmas Gift

Purchased as a Christmas Gift for elderly family member. I have bought these previously for my daughter. They are sensitive and turn on promptly during hours of limited visibility. They adequately light the exterior area around doorways and allow identification of what/who ever set them off. She also uses one in her utility room. They are very economical to operate - her utility light has not yet had the batteries replaced despite activation several times each day. Update 29 Aug 2013. All still going strong still haven't had to replace the batteries.

Works Well

I bought two of these. One fits perfectly under the eve of my house aimed at the front door for those times I leave during the daylight and return when it's dark. The other I put in my garden shed. The good thing is there is no wiring required. However the one in the garden shed doesn't light up the whole shed very brightly. Overall I am satisfied with their performance.

battery powered motion activated light

I love this little light. It's perfect for what I wanted. I park in the carport,start to bring the groceries upstairs and when I get to the bottom of the stairs the light comes on. Now if I have my hands full I don't have to try to turn on the light switch for the overhead light. I put mine on the stairs in the corner, about halfway up. That way it catches me when I go up or down stairs. It stays on for 40 seconds. I can hang it on the wall also, but for now this is the perfect place. It rotates, so I can aim it high, medium or low. It seems like very good quality too. It takes 4 D size batteries.

Excellent customer service

At first this light didn't work outside. I thought it might have something to do with the temperature. This has been a cold winter in the upper Midwest. It did seem to work indoors. But after waiting for some above freezing temperatures it still didn't work outdoors. By now I had well passed Amazon's 30 day return policy. I decided to phone Maxsa's number on the box. A live person answered and listened to my situation. She immediately told me she would ship a replacement unit. It arrived and has been working fine since, even when the thermometer dipped below freezing again. Kudos to Maxwa for standing behind their product and for their excellent customer service

They light the way, outside or inside - excellent product

I have several of these lights on my deck and deck stairs. They work great and the batteries last a long time. I keep them outside year round (through east coast winters) and they continue to do the job. I also have 8 of the black ones (they are a little smaller) that I use in the house. Perfect when the power goes out, or if someone gets up during the night. They light the way, instead of turning on ceiling or table lights. I've had 2 of them for more than 5 years, and with new batteries, they still work. I highly recommend these lights.

It works!

Put this one inside a front window. It lights up the path to my front walk. The sensor is pretty sensitive so it comes on when I walk through the living room in the middle of the night. Fine by me. I bought a second one to put outside on a fence post to light the driveway
