These do not make your patient sweat like the blue plastic VA went to.
I have used these for 9 years with parents and never one bed sore. VA switched to cheap blue plastic backing pads. 88 yr old dad got a bed sore in first month. He was sweating. I ordered Ultrasorbs out of pocket. We are much more satisfied. If you must use the VA pads, Please put a cloth or towel over them to reduce heat and moisture, perspiration.

saves having to wash reusable chuck pads
saves having to change bed sheets due to leak thru chucks

Comfortable and protective.
Strong enough to roll the patient on their side unlike other underpads. Protects bedding.

Pricey but Worth the Cost
Had the opportunity to see these in action- You can't go wrong. They are a bit pricey, but the money and time you save after-the-fact will make up for the extra cost.

They work
When I was in the hospital these are the pads that were used. They were used to boost me up in the bed as well. My nurse uses them for her incontinent child at home. When they came my aides and I couldn’t be happier. I had saturated this one night because the diaper was Improperly put on me. My bed was bone dry! Wow. One of the aides had difficulty boosting me with it though, she said it was starting to tear. I think it’s the way she was holding it because my other aids didn’t have a problem with that. Because these are anti-slipping I think that makes it more difficult to boost me as well but I don’t have the pad bunching up under my spine and shoulder blades because of this feature so I’m keeping this style. With a painful spinal cord injury everything hurts me so I’m sleeping much better! I’m going to post a review on Facebook for my spinal court injury group. Unfortunately many people cannot afford these pads and I can’t find a supplier that takes Medicaid that carry’s them. I’m using the credit card from my Pooled Trust to pay for these but many people don’t have that option and it breaks my heart because I know how much they suffer. I hope some kind of foundation can pay for these for people that truly need them (not just want them).

Great product
Hubby is bedbound veteran who is incontinent. Thanks Agent Orange and Dow Chemical. Though we try to catch his toileting needs sometimes we can’t. These hold a gallon of liquid and are a lifesaver. The VA provides a different type of bedpad and I place those on top of these. If those can’t catch it all these will He also perspires a lot so three on the bed from Head to foot of bed under him help a lot to keep him dry and linens clean. These are not cheap. Basically 100.00 for 70 pads. However for us they are very much worth it. I can change the top pads and these are always the safeguard. Also they absorb his perspiration which keeps his skin dry and prevents skin breakdown. We use a pack of 70 every 2 weeks. But well worth it. They are our most crucial product to keep him as healthy as possible.
