Great set but the material comes off

This is a really cute set, but I didn't realize before that the animals have a felt-like material. This material comes off quite easily which is obviously not ideal.

Decent

These are cute, and definitely worth it if you want more realistic looking animals. My son is 20 months now and I should have bought the Fisher Price Little People set instead! I ended up buying the FP “zoo” set and he loves them way more than these! They are velvet coated and within the first day he had chewed the face off the dog. I know these are listed for 3+, but I thought they were animals so who cares? The birds are a little too small for his age so we put them away for later. All in all stick with FP for younger children!

Not what I expected

Product is a decent size for children/toddlers to play with, but I did not know these animal figures were NOT plastic. Upon further inspection, I saw the animal figures were made of velvet material. You would think they would make their animal figures plastic. Toddlers get dirty and so do their toys. No way to clean them effectively if these are covered in velvet. Granted I'm sure you could spot clean but you can only do that so much until they are ruined beyond repair.

Great but hair/lint magnets ????

I really like these figurines. I wanted something more on the realistic side for my son and I knew this brand is well known and id say pretty trustworthy so I went with these. The felt material is fine but we have a long haired cat and they are straight up hair/lint magnets unfortunately. Other than that, they have been fine. My son isnt super duper rough with them so they’ve been in good shape for the past few months. Idk why others have fallen apart in the past, other than maybe taking a huge beating I’m sure but idk! My son throws them around at times but that’s about it. The constant hair on them is the most of my worries but I’d consider getting other animals from Melissa and Doug in the future.

My grandson loves them

The animals are the perfect size , easy for my grandson to handle and he enjoys playing with them. They look very nice, and have a nice texture.

I like very much the soft texture that resembles the fur. The sizes was perfect for our animal barn.

Nice size and great play value

Cute and realistic animals that stand up well without tipping. They’re a great addition to the Melissa and Doug barn, and fun on their own as well. But as with the animals that come with the barn, the flocking that covers their plastic body easily peels and wears off at the edges, particularly the feet. Not a flaw with the toy per se, but, the “barn” frame they come in is too narrow to be useful. If it were deeper, the frame could be mounted on a wall and the animals could be stored on the little shelves within. As it is, the shelves are too narrow and the animals fall off.

Pricey for the poor quality

I've purchased many many Melissa and Doug products because I find their toys unique with superior quality and usually well worth the higher price. This toy however failed to meet that standard. I love that the toys are fuzzy but after moments of play they started to come apart and just looked ugly in general. I gave them a 3 because my son still plays with them but I would not recommend purchasing this toy.

I bought these farm animals for my nephew who is obsessed with farm animals and they were a winner. He loves them they are soft and realistic I also bought the Melissa and Doug farm play mat that is amazing quality as well.

Great farm animal collection

Love these animals. Very life like, sturdy and good quality. They all have a slight side fuzziness to them which is perfect for little hands. Makes them more touchable. Good size too. I highly recommend them!

Wish I had these when I was a kid

Bought these for my boyfriend to give to his niece and I was just floored by the quality. WOW. I wish I had these when I was a kid! They animals are so cute and look so realistic too. I am 100% positive his niece loves them too.
