Great pull behind

The grandchild just giggles and giggles pulling the train behind her as if she is being chased. She also likes chasing it as Yia Yia pulls it for her to run after. It has become one of her favorites. Very well made wooden toy. The pieces separate so she can use individual pieces as a “car”. She’s not too keen on towing the characters in the train. I would recommend this product for kids who use their caregiver shoes to use to pull behind. Saved us from looking throughout the house for our shoes. :).

Good toy, make sure you have glue handy

Got train for my toddler for Christmas. It was broken in the box. I had to re-glue several pieces back on it. In the last month, other items have come off and needed to be glued back on. Can tell the pieces were barely glued on when made. Otherwise he loves the toy and once glued back on properly, haven't had much of an issue.

Cute first train, great to motivate baby to crawl after it but quality is lacking.

If our daughter wouldn't like this toy so much I would give it 3 stars. It is very cute and the size is really nice and big for a an older baby or toddler. Our daugter is only 10 months (she got it around 9 months) so we only use it supervised, mostly us pulling the train, our daughter crawling behind it, trying to catch it. It was an amazing incentive to get her crawling after she made her first attempts. Other than that she occasionally inspects the parts, especially the animals and removes the wagons from one another. Personally, I'd say it is a toy also safe to play with for children younger than 18 month. What we are unhappy with is the quality. It already came with the parts glued together in a way that they are not properly aligned. Even worse, one wheel already has a deep gash after only one week of gentle used. In the last month it didn't get worse but we need to be very careful now with our daughter around it and don't expect it to last long. I really would have expected better quality for the price. Would I buy it again anyway? Probably yes, since it is so cute seeing our daughter speed crawl after it. But for everyone who buys this and the kid doesn't seem overly interested, I'd immediately return it since for the poor quality it's just too pricey to keep around if not used frequently. Would be great if they'd sell this item in better quality.

Bigger than I thought

This set is actually quite large. Each little car is bigger than expected and the animals come out. 1 year old nephew loves it.

Great pull along train toy!

Gave this to my son for Christmas and he loves it. Easy to pull around and rolls well on carpet and wood floors. Stays together well.

Wonderful we’ll made toy

My one year old grandson loves this train. It is incredibly well made. Very solid. The animals rock back and forth in the train cars. You can’t go wrong with this purchase. The quality is top notch. This will last for years. Solid wood. Forget the plastic junk!!

High Quality, Old-fashioned Toy

Bought for 20-month old twins, and it's a hit! Excellent sturdy quality, and the train rolls smoothly over carpet. It makes no sound, so if you want a clickety-clack, or electronics, look elsewhere. The only tiny thing I'd change is to add a bead or some sort of small handle to the pull string. I did tie a couple of ring links on. So far, I'm glad to say it's fun enough for one to pull, and one to watch--an unheard of occurrence in my house, with two babies! They typically want what the other has. I'm very pleased with all the Melissa and Doug toys we've bought.

Noisy but love it.

My 2 year old son loves to pull it around the house. Definitely not a quiet toy and it does tip from time to time but he has learned how to assemble it back when it falls apart.

高いのに作りが荒いなぁ

木工用ボンドで接着しているようだが、ボンドがはみ出ているし、先頭車両の煙突部分が届いたその日に抜けた。これは仕方なく自分で接着して対応。さらに、一つだけ車輪が斜めに接着されていたので変な動きをする。 2～3000円くらいが品質に対する妥当な値段なのではと思った。
