well made

The 40 piece Delray set arrived without any cracks, chips, or breakage. None had any rough edges or bottoms. Could not perceive any imperfections or inconsistent sizes . All stack easily. All fit into my Bosch dishwasher. Can not attest to durability etc. as have not had for sufficient time but all appear sturdy and well constructed with a good finish. Like that salad plates are a little larger than most dinnerware sets and could use in a pinch as the regular plates (and perfect for children). Hopefully they will last as I am very satisfied.

Quality at great price

Smokin' deal. I wanted bone china, Mikasa's a known quality brand, and price reduction enabled me to buy service for 16 at the price of 8. Was wary after reading some of the negative reviews, but after careful inspection have found none. No breakage on arrival, no initial manufacturing quality issues found, and so far the items have held up just fine in the dishwasher. Very pleased overall and recommend.

Great set of dinnerware, great price, GREAT buy!

This dinnerware looks great, washed great in the DW and could be used casually or formally. They are much lighter in weight than our old stoneware which was just what I was looking for. As such, they also stack well and take less space in our cabinet. Also ordered two serving bowls, oval and rectangular platters. They pair well with some older white pieces we already had. WELL packaged! Arrived quickly! The nice thing about all white is that we can pair patterned serving pieces if we want and I'm already eyeing a few on Amazon. Great buy!

These are so light but extremely strong. I’m so happy with them. Do not underestimate their beauty just because they are snow white. Very elegant tableware!

Good, but expected better for price

Overall I like this set. Clean lines, nice white color, blank canvas for displaying your dinner creations. However, especially for the price, I expected better quality control. One of the 8 large bowls arrived broken (all others in box were okay, makes me think it was a faulty bowl, not a problem with shipping). One of the dinner plates is mis-sized. Hard to see in picture but it is about 1 cm larger in diameter compared to the other plates. It doesn’t stack right, and handles differently. I would expect uniformity from Mikasa, for the $$ paid for these dishes.

I wouldn't purchase these dishes again.

I feel positive that these dishes are seconds, which is why they ended up in a Amazon warehouse. I received the set the other day and as I was putting them in my dishwasher I noticed that two dishes had strange looking dark spots on them, and no amount of scrubbing got it off. I've been buying Mikasa dishes for years directly from them, and I've never had problems. I hope people read my review as well as the other negative reviews before they purchase these Mikasa seconds.

This is light weight good quality china at a reasonable price.

Although we have only had this china a couple of days, it is both microwave and dishwasher safe.

Beautiful Simple

Looks great with my dining stuff. I use them every day. 2 of the bowls were broken during shipping and not sure how to get just the 2 bowls replaced.

They are light weight but sturdy.

They arrived on time and in perfect condition. I love the shape of the bowls, not those Wide, flat ones that some sets are. The mugs feel light but work just fine. I would recommend these dishes to everyone.

Disappointingly poor quality

Looked great at first, and I thought Mikasa was a reputable brand. After just a few months of use, the bowls stick together and are very difficult to separate. Also, the glaze appears to be of very poor quality, and looks dull and shabby. Very disappointing. I would not recommend this dinnerware, and I will not buy anything from Mikasa again.

The dinner plates are over-sized as they would not fit in my kitchen cabinets. Just be aware.
