This 1/4" NPT Milton micro filter is supplied with pre-assembled internal automatic overnight drain, which will operate when an air supply is shut down or when liquid has gathered in the filter bowl. The included 3 stage baffle system offers exceptional moisture removal. This micro filter includes a porous bronze sintered 40 micron filter element which allows less pressure drops and longer cleaning intervals. Micro filters remove harmful water or oil condensate, pipe scale, dirt and rust from compressed air systems and are used as pre-filters to coalescing type filters to ensure high efficiency and long element life. The corrosion resistant metal bowl has a capacity of 6 ounces. Maximum of 250 PSI and 48 SCFM. The included manual overnight drain has two functions; once the pressure drops the water drains from the bottom or it can also rotate the knurled knob on the drain to manually drain the water.

Arrived without instructions

I purchased this air filter with the recommended mounting bracket recommended by Amazon. The filter came without any instructions and the mounting bracket doesn't fit. Useless.

Does not come with bracket to hang it, but solid as a rock!

Tried a couple others at the local hardware stores that didn't take care of the moisture while living in the Southeast USA. Decided to give Milton a try, and glad I did. Other review complaining about a disassembled filter and bowl assembly should have returned it, because these come assembled and ready to mount and apply fittings. My drain screw is a little stiff, but a gentle squeeze on a simple pair of pliers does the trick. And I can tell it won't be too much longer and I won't need the pliers either. Probably a break-in period. This is the correct mounting bracket for a Milton - 10188 filter bowl if mounted on its own: Milton S-1163-1 Filter or Lubricator Mounting Bracket. Other options as well since it's all 1/4" fittings I'm sure you could come up with if doing more than just this filter bowl. So far it's been like it isn't even there. Buying another one for my outside garage too where my larger compressor sits. These also come in larger sizes for larger volume needs if you have a larger air compressor.
