Great cloth-looking placemats without the cleaning hassle
I was looking for a placemat that looked like cloth but didn't have to go through the laundry. This pattern was beautiful and fit the bill great. There is a slight translucency to these, but they are not completely see-through like the Marble collection. The silicone cleans easily - just shake over the trash or a quick wipe down after most meals, or it can go through the dishwasher for more messy meals. The silicone can be bent without creasing (I was initially concerned when my mat arrived in the mail folded, but you would never know that it was ever bent- the mats sit perfectly flat right out of the packaging). My biggest concern with these mats were the price - pretty high for a single placemat. I ended up buying a Used - Like New off of Amazon Warehouse at about half the price, and could find nothing wrong with it. The texture is printed on the white colored silicone, but you may not notice the silicone, depending on your surface. Pros: - Look of cloth tablecloth without the maintenance. - Probably would look better on a lighter colored surface - Textured design on top of the silicone, so there is some resistance to things moving around on them. - Easy to maintain (crumbs slide right off), can be put into dishwasher - Can withstand a lot of heat (description says 425 degrees) - Flexible and lightweight, store well flat or rolled up Cons - The price per placemat is high - May not be ideal for a dark-colored surface due to the white translucent silicone that the top design is laid onto.

Beautiful placemats. Bought a set for my son and d-i-l at a museum and have wanted to buy some for myself. Luckily i snagged a good deal! LOVE them! Easy to clean!

Great quality, durability, and easy to clean.
Would highly recommend these mats to families with kids or no kids. They have been great at protecting my wood dining table from the banging utensils my toddler has been serving it. I have been asked on more than one occasion where I bought them too, so others seem to appreciate them too. Plus, we can all use our laptops on the surface of placemats to k vcbeep them from sliding around. Ample room to use at dinner with room for 2 beverages. Super bonus that they are easy to clean too. On real busy days I can wipe them down good without needing to remove them from our table and they won't slide around in that prices either. These placemats are not trivets. The coasters made by this brand can be used this way. These mats are on the pricey side so I only buy 1 at a time until I complete my set. In the past, I have given away the child versions to friends as baby shower gifts for their durability and in keeping food clear of sketchy surfaces.

Quite good
I just received my new placemat, and I am quite satisfied with it. It's sturdy, supple, and elegant. Since it was folded in the envelope, there was a crease in the middle the first day, but it flattened out afterward. The only con I would have it that since it's made of silicon, it's nonslipery. That's good if you want your plate to stay in place, but less so when you want to remove the crumbs. But all in all, it's an excellent product.
