Acutal Moen Product

The Cup Seal and Diverter Gate came in Moen packaging and was an exact duplicate of the original parts. Two minuets to remove the old and install the new. Couldn't be happier.

Just what I needed to fit my tub

My kid broke the existing one and this was exactly what I needed when the Orange Big Box store replacement didn't fit. Easy installation.

The one I replaced was 5 years old, looked fine but was leaking. This replacement went in easy and worked!

It works!

Our tub spout diverter leaked like a sieve. Half of the water never made it to the shower head! This was the simple fix, a 3 minute job. Works great! The only hard part was getting the old one out, needed to spread the little prongs with pliers while ‘standing on my head.’ This new one went in very easily.

Solved Problem

Existing one got difficult to operate and eventually the rubber portion was lost. Bought a generic one from Big Box store. It didn't fit my tub. Got it to work by modifying with my Dremel. Decided to see if getting the part made by manufacturer would help. It definitely did. Inserted without any difficulty and works like original. Going to by couple more as spares. For the ease of instllation I guess it was worth the extra I paid compared to generic brand.

Worked but beware of the slight variation with Moen options

Depending on the year of your spout Moen has a couple of slight variations in design for the Diverter Gate. One is more square on the edges while this one is more round (which is what i needed). Not 100% obvious as i accidently bought the more square version form a local HW store. Inexpensive fix without having to replace an expensive spout. Some good youtube video's on how to quickly replace.

Fixed the leaky shower

Once the spout was removed, cleaned internally with super fine wet/dry sand paper, and the new diverter was installed, it's like I bought a new unit. Cheap fix and works great.
