This Old House Project - Shower Curtain Rod Works just as well

It's a towel bar. The towel bar can hold a towel. It is sturdy. It is attractive. But it is a pain to put up - wish they just had the holes on the outside. For me, would not get again because of the big hub bub of putting it up - when it comes to towel bars there should be no hub bub at all. But it is a towel bar that can hold a towel. A towel bar needs to be an eyeball project without paper patterns and the need for a level. Too much trouble installing, far too much hub bub and hub bub can be bad when there is too much of it. The installation of this towel bar should be a four part series on This Old House. Your shower curtain rod will work just as well for holding a towel. That said, 5 stars for quality, 4 stars for value and two stars for ease of installation. Blah!

I like it, very modern looking towel rack

Good towel rack, I wanted to replace the old one that was still in my house when first built, this gives it a nice look and upgrade. Just took a while to get delivered

Lighter weight towel bar with tricky installation and loose bar

This towel bar is fine, it's a little lighter and lower quality than expected but my expectations may have been too high. It's also tricky to install if you follow their directions of using a paper template and making that level and drilling through paper (which moves even when taped down as instructed!), etc. The bar itself is loose and spins around unlike any other towel bar we have. We solved by putting double-sided tape around each end of the bar then putting inside the end pieces (the single piece of plastic that came with the bar that may have fixed this but didn't fit at all). The tape stopped the spinning and makes it seem more solid. The anchors don't cooperate well with the brackets lying flat on the wall to enable proper installation so that took some rigging as well. Not sure if you'd run into these issues with any towel bar but, it sure was a frustrating process with this one. It could be a situation where you get what you pay for.

Great product for the price

The product looks great and is easy to install. When you actually use it, the bar will rotate with the towel - not a bad thing, but something I associate with it being cheaply made. But for under $10, I would still highly recommend it as a good buy for the price.
