The Moen S43001 is a stunning faucet, but is it worth the price premium? BUILD Moen faucets usually are built to last, with some plastic exceptions. This is definitely not an exception. The metal is a good gauge, and the moveable parts are sturdy. There were some minor defects in the metal (small bumps), which is likely not an issue with the quality of the materials so much as an issue with packaging or rough handling. Make sure to inspect yours before installing. STYLE One of the greatest compliments I can give a fixture is that it is not for everyone. So many faucets are designed with a style generic enough to make a home easy to sell to any consumer. This faucet instead has a definite style. The sharp angles have both an urban and a deco style, and the handle is striking and part of the design. It makes a statement, and it is a statement that I personally like a lot. FUNCTION Water flows nicely, without too much or too little aeration. The handle is a bit stiff, but that lends itself to the substantial feel and allows it to loosen over time without feeling too loose. Moving from hot to cold is smooth and intuitive. My only critique is that, while the design works well with a rotating head, the arc of the faucet is fixed in place. It is sometimes convenient to spin a faucet out of the way. INSTALLATION Modern Moen faucets have a very streamlined installation process that minimizes plumbing connections and includes a tool to avoid awkward hand-cramping work. Having installed a lot of faucets, I thoroughly appreciate how easy they come on and off. Of note here is that the faucet's circular base is smaller than a normal. That means that if you plan to use a base plate to cover a three-hole sink, you'll likely still need to use the circular base plate that comes with the faucet. On the bright side, this stacked look works perfectly with the design. SUMMARY This is one of my favorite faucets. It has a distinct and impressive design, and is a joy to use.

Great look, nice function, few issues.

We love most of the Moen faucets, and this one is a great addition. Here are my thoughts. Good: - Great style. Love the square mixed with round. - Very easy to install. It includes everything you need (except a deck plate if needed; see "not so good" section). - The drain assembly is a nice addition. I love the push-top drain plug. No more pulling/pushing that metal slide behind most faucets. - Nice flow and aeration. - Very sturdy. - Great warranty - as long as you own your home. Not so good: - I looked up the instructions before obtaining this faucet. The instructions show a deck plate, but one is not included in the box. I was disappointed to say the least. So be sure you have a deck plate if you are using this on a sink with more than 1 hole. It does include a collar for a single hole sink though. - While it is easy to install, the instructions are pretty much void of words - just pictures. - The finish did have some dimples in it. Nothing major though. - Might have been worth adding a diagram of which way to turn for hot/cold on the lever/handle. Or maybe some sort of stick on cap, so the option is there. It's a guessing game for new users. - The handle is a little stiff to use. Definitely a great faucet if you like the look of it. And it's built to last.

Modern style, quality faucet

Purchased to match my tub filler. This looks attractive and works well. Was a discounted item so a few minor scratches were visible on the underside. No problems with the install. This was a good price and arrived quickly.

Nothing Spectacular

I was a bit disappointed that I found that the Moen faucet seemed in the photo to be well made I found the product to inferior plus even though it was packed well it did arrive with a small scratch on the faucet. The positive side was the installation was easy. There are many product out there that are of better quality Shop around at your local Home Depot or Lowes especially during sales I would not order something such as this product online I would want to make sure that for the price I can get a product with no scratches and I would like to see the quality up close prior to,purchasing it

What about lefties??

I have not bought this product, nor would I consider buying it. Corporations need to learn that 10% of the planet is LEFT HANDED. They should make products that are not dangerous or impossible for lefties to use. This faucet looks beautiful and I would love to buy it if I didn't have to reach around the spout to turn it on or off!
