Usual Moen high quality

Well finished, good looking, and sturdy. Typical small screws and tight working conditions make installation a challenge, but this is usually the case for grab bars.

A very solid railing

My 84 year old wife is challenged going up stairs, and needed a railing on the right side to make it an easier process. This particular dark railing matched the color of the old out of production railing on the left side, but not the design. We were lucky that the wall it mounted to is 3/4" wood that did not require internal bracing. This railing is very solid and aids her to a great degree getting up three stairs. The only reason I gave this railing four stars is because the very small hex screws are quite difficult to remove and re-insert into the railing holder that mounts to the wall. Three hex screws for each holder are required for this and at least one is will be situated under the railing mount....making it very difficult to thread into the mount. I feel it would help to use phillips head screws that are a bit larger and magnetized for this purpose. Otherwise I would give this railing five stars.

Safety bar that looks like a towel bar

We purchased 2 of these for my elderly fathers bathroom as he was having balance issues. Easy to install… helps to have 2 people doing the install. 1 person to hold the assembly level and the 2nd person marking the hole locations. Took about 20 minutes total per bar. Super strong.. I’m 260 pounds and can do bar dips with them!

Nice looking.

Aesthetically pleasing. Look more like towel racks than safety bars. A contractor installed them for me because they need to be secured to studs or something similar to ensure the stability needed. Very sturdy...not flimsy.

High Quality and Design - Not difficult to Install!

I am a fan of Moen products. When we decided a combination grab bar/towel rack would be best for one of the bathrooms, I did a search and came up with this design. Because we didn't know where the studs were, I also ordered (2) Moen Securemount Anchors and a Disston 1-1/4" Hole Saw. Each Securemount is supposed to support up to 300# I believe. My son installed the unit horizontally and it went very well. Solid as a rock now and looks like a thick towel rod - there is a towel on to the left of it and the right end has room to grab on to if needed. Very pleased.

Not boring

This grab bar is just what I was looking for. It is strong and well made. It is also nice to look at. The company installing my new tub wanted to give me a plain ugly grab bar. They said they would install a different one if I could buy it. I'm so glad I did. This matches the rest of the bathroom fixtures perfectly!
