2 pretty major problems here...
And here they are: 1. The zero I received is not the same one pictured here. I was looking for a perfectly circular zero, and the listing photo looks to be a perfectly circular zero. Although it's close, the zero I received is oblong. Additionally (and perhaps more problematically for most), my zero has no where near the thickness that that the one in the photo shows. In fact, compared to the one in the photo, the zero I received is, for all intents and purposes, essentially flat. 2. No instructions/templates for hanging provided with the item. My item did come with a tiny piece of paper telling me to go to Montague's website for hanging instructions and templates. Not a big deal. Except that Montague's website actually doesn't have instructions or templates available on their website for this particular set of numbers. In fact, it doesn't seem to have any materials available there for most of the numbers they sell. I could only find a set of instructions for a different set of numbers and a template for yet another different set of numbers. While both should probably just be included with the item, I don't mind printing them out. But NOT including instructions/template AND including instead another piece of paper telling me to go to the website where instructions/templates don't seem to exist? I can think of a lot of words to describe that, but unprofessional, short-sighted, lazy, and perplexing jump to the top of the list. How exactly is the decision to not include those materials with the item made? If it's an effort to save trees and reduce waste, isn't that negated by the fact that they still have to send along paper with instructions...to find other instructions and a template...to then print on more paper? If it's a cost-savings thing for the company, how much are they actually saving by omitting one piece of paper, and how incredibly cheap does that make Montague seem that they instead pass on that cost to the consumer? And THEN, to have neither the instructions nor the template available when I get there? C'mon guys... Despite the major misrepresentation made by the listing photo and how extremely annoying the template thing is, the house numbers have been hung and, in the end, look quite beautiful. So, I'll be keeping them. Besides, I can only imagine a return wouldn't be worth the effort or hassle.
