Not 300'

Our project is 285' and this tape was 20' short. Not cool since now I must order more tape before I can finish up. I ordered a different brand. Also, this brand says that it is detectable however it is not apparent how metal is included in the tape.

Highly Visible . . . If You Can See It

This tape is good for a "Dig No Deeper" warning, ie, if someone is digging and encounters this, they will know there are cables (or whatever) another foot down (according to how deep it's buried). I talked with Dave at Morris products. He was very helpful. Luckily, the white tag Amazon placed on the roll did not obscure Morris's catalog number (#69008) and he was able to look it up and tell me it is not detectable with a metal detector. Sears sells this and they state directly it is detectable with a metal detector. Maybe ground-penetrating sonar would work? Bottom line: Great for visual marking. Someone mislabeled the tape. It is not detectable with a metal detector. I checked for conductivity and got zero. Beware.

Best Value and 100% safety for the future of my lot

This tape is as good as any and this is my second time buying it, first was 4 years ago. I am extending my electric lines and during the tie in it was easy to locate the existing lines underground without damage, put the tape 4-6 inches above the underground line. The value is here for sure and shipping was fast and no delay of planned project. I went on amazon looked up this seller from 4 years ago, and bonus is the price was a lil cheaper this time around. thanks for your posting and service . its great for personal use as it is hard to remember exactly where you placed underground utilities at dates down the road.

Overall, I got this at a good price for a project I had.

This worked perfectly and was cheaper than I could get locally. I only needed ~50' though. We ran electrical to our detached shed. We dug a 24" deep trench, ran conduit, back-filled with 6" of soil than placed the tape across the top of the conduit before filling the rest. It's added insurance. Even the guy I hired to dig the trench with his bobcat said "most people skip out on that step but it's very important to mark utilities properly so that when I'm digging I know something isn't right". He suggested beach sand above the pipe and before the tape is put down but I hadn't thought of it and it was too late once he brought up the idea. Overall, I got this at a good price for a project I had.

Not as advertised- just plastic no foil - not detectable - can buy this product for less than half this price. Avoid!
