Fits perfect.
Needed a way to take my trolling motor off so my cover would fit, this works perfectly. It was easy to install also. Just make sure you measure and fit before you start drilling holes. Mine is a tight fit, it has a very positive set with no wobble.

Bolts Too Sort
Everything looked good until I installed the bottom bracket bolts through the deck of my pontoon boat. They were too short to accommodate the plastic washer and the flat washer as per instructions. These are stainless steel hex-head bolts that are most likely pricey and difficult to find in longer versions, especially in my small town. I ended up using some larger diameter flat washers, which allowed the nut to be fully tightened, and smothering the works with 100% silicon window caulking. Not best practices, but I will inspect frequently.

great idea
I installed my trolling motor with this because I leave my boat in the water but don't want an expensive trolling motor to be stolen. Just pull the pin and take it with me. I was able to use this for my Minn Kota motor by just drilling a few holes.

Great product.
Drilled 4 holes in trammel net deck to install. All hardware was included. Minimal impact on space at bow of jon boat. Excellent product. Very pleased

Assembly is straight forward.
The only thing I had to do first was to build a little platform before mounting the bracket since my fishing deck is lower than the gunwhale. Once that was done it mounted nicely. Love the taper edges making it easier when attaching the trolling motor. Also the u-shaped pin makes locking and removing easy than the old one pin system on some of the older quick release brackets.

Perfect for quick detach and store.
This is amazing for quick removal. It does leave the small puck on the floor, but you dont have a trolling motor in your way either.

Very stable for recreational fishing.
Worked well. The plate only mounted on the motor one way which positioned the block close to the edge of the bow. I would have preferred to have this block further back. Works fine and is very easy to attach and remove the motor. If I were still fishing tournaments I think I would opt for the metal version to add more assurance in rough water but recreationally I expect this to work fine. I may still add a ram to secure the end of the motor to prevent bouncing in rough water or when transporting. The mounting clip was one solid metal piece, sounds like this may have been in partially plastic in the last.

Makes it easy to remove motor.
I have two one for my 55lb thrust trolling motor and one for my Deckhand DH 40 which I use to pick up that 30 lb anchor, works great in the garage.
