The MB984 Motion-Sensing Light-Sensing Indoor/Outdoor Battery Powered LED Ceiling Light 4-Pack is part of the Mr. Beams line of intelligent wireless LED lights. These lights are the perfect lighting solution for closet, stairway, attic, basement, utility room, porch, gazebo, garage, shower and more. The MB984 uses the best LEDs on the market to put out 100 Lumens of bright white light, covering over 260-Square Feet. The stair lights instantly turn on when motion is detected after dark, and can detect motion from as far as 25-Feet away, with 180-Degree of motion. Auto Shut-Off deactivates lights after 30 seconds of no motion detection, conserving battery life. Great alternative to running electricity to an out-of-the-way location!

I installed two underneath an outdoor deck so that I could see well underneath it enough to be able to use my smoker and still see everything. It worked well. As an alternative to a $800-$1,200 that it would have taken to run electricity and install a switch, it was brilliant. The motion sensor works great. I don't even have to think about it and it turns on. Love that.

Used in closet and shed

I am using these in a closet, in our garden shed (no electricity) and above our circuit breakers (for when power goes out and I need to switch power to our generator). These work extremely well. I would buy again!

Not clear instructions

The lights work well once you figure out how to open them to put in the batteries. The instructions don't tell you that you have to remove a plastic screw to get the back off.

Easy to install but the included screws are @odt

Installed in my attic storage area. Lights do the intended job & were easy to install. Be careful because the included screws are small & soft so the heads strip easily.

Two of them are still in their original packaging because these things SUCK. COMPLETELY Non-adjustable

One Star... Because they are not all their advertized to be.... Look at the ad, and the packaging - Both show one of these lights in a shower, which is why we bought them. Them as in 4 of them. I was going to put 2 in the shower, and one in each closet. Two of them are still in their original packaging because these things SUCK. COMPLETELY Non-adjustable, put the batteries in and the unit is on, take the batteries out and the unit of off, that it. There is Nothing else you can do, you can't adjust the default time they're on, nor can you adjust the motion & light detector sensitivity. If there is ANY other light on any where in their vicinity, they will NOT light up - period, the room must be Dark for them to work at all! If you do manage to get one to come one, you better not stop moving or else it will just shut or else the light simply goes out after about 10, maybe 15 seconds. If it's longer it would surprise me... Would I buy them again, or recommend them to a friend, No... 2/14/2016 Update - J U N K! The two in the bathroom have both completely died, dead, nothing. I place the last two on the garage ceiling hoping they might work better than the two in the bathroom... Cool, but not cold (averages 60 degrees) DRY and unless one of the doors is open, or the mail lights turned on, COMPLETELY DARK. They worked, in fact they were Great, every time we opened the man door, they both came on, exactly what I was hoping for - That lasted for about three weeks, then the first one just stopped working, about 2 weeks later the other one stopped working. Again, at the risk of being redundant - I Repeat - J U N K !!!!!!!

Weak, barely adequate

Bought four of these for my one car garage that has no electrical service. They work, but are not very bright and it has to be very dark before they activate. I bought a Milwaukee cordless LED floodlight after installing these and that is ten times better. I would not recommend these lights.

Light where I need it and when I need it.

Originally I was going to return the product because I had difficulty, actually was unable to open the battery compartment. My patient son asked to give it a try and succeeded. We are so pleased because now, when we open our closet doors, we can see our clothes! I installed one at the top and bottom of each closet and am sure, that as we continue to settle in to our new (1947) home, we will find many more places to install Mr. Beams.
