Non-returnable - Smaller than size chart indicates

The size chart shows to measure around the knee. Maybe these would work if I could get them to my knee. Even though the chart showed XXL would be perfect, it would barely pull up above my ankle area. Hard to use a knee brace on my ankle. So, upon trying to return this item that shows "Returnable" in the listing, Amazon changed the story to say this is a medical device and cannot be returned. Customer service was great and helped me out, but want to avoid that pain for the next person who is already suffering from a pain in the knee.
