Bought for son, hijacked by daughter

Bought this for my 7 year old son and my 13 year old daughter found this to be more interesting. Definitely some cool items. Like the shark teeth. Good purchase

Was replacement for previous order, that was sent as complete different item. This collection surprised me as it contains varied quality rocks and arrived in excellent condition

This makes an excellent gift for anybody who enjoys STEM.

On top of the beautiful gems and fossils included in this kit, there’s a booklet which informs you of everything included. It’s exciting to learn about the gems and the fossils, not to mention, they make a great display.

A very nice gift for a young rockhound.

This was purchased for a young child who is very interested in rocks. He was delighted to get a box with so many different types of rocks. The assortment and quality were great. Now he wants to increase his collection. I have since purchased another science toy from NG for another child, the rocket. It was also a hit but bad weather has prevented it from being used yet. I think, for the money, National Geo offers good products that children will enjoy.

Exactly what was expected

Product is as expected. Packaged IS as shown, some of the other reviews complained about the plain printed box- the color printed box is inside the brown nat geo box. Also noticed other negative reviews where the box didn't even say national geographic and had a fake logo on them so be sure to check that yours is authentic, mine was. My rock loving little one will love this.

My daughter loves it

My daughter wished it came with more geodes that she could brake on her own and in different colors . But other then that she loves it.

It's decent if you want smooth stones.

Got this 'kit' for my gf because she loves pretty rocks and crystals. I feel like the kit would be better if it had less polished stones, only 1 bag was not polished stones. (To clearify, these are tumble polished stones, so they lose all crystalline details and just become smooth pebbles) I heard some people talking about a meteorite, we did not get one, the fossil teeth were broken, but that's probably from the shipping processes. The geodes (haven't broken them open yet at time of posting) are rather small, and will likely be underwhelming. There is definitely some stones not correctly identified by the place that packed the box, so you will get some mystery stones. The rose quartz is of very weak color. Dont expect any vibrant pink stones.

Great for kids

This is a great set for kids that are interested in discovering geology. It has a wide variety of samples and is a great tool for learning. Small children will require some help but its fun even for adults.

Great Value for Money, highly recommend this product

It is not cheap - but worth every penny. If you compare what you get to all other packages this offers simply bigger stones, way more stones, and incredible variety, the customer service is just absolutely brilliant, it is the hightest quality product you could expect - and it's entertaining and has a huge educational value. I'll buy it again and again as a gift and for my other kids

Great for child. Box small and the geode are tiny.

Good item. But small box. Tiny geodes unfortunately. Plenty of stones and crystal chips in separate bags. Shark teeth are good along with bag and display box.. son loves taking them in to school to show class.
