finally, no more sagging gate!

I replaced the regular hinge with this hinge strap and matching bolt. It is so well made and so sturdy. I feel it will last longer than the post and gate itself. Matching the hinge strap and bolt is challenge. The description on the national hardware website is confusing. I am using below hinge strap and bolt for my gate and they are working together: National Hardware N168-336 294BC Hinge Straps in Zinc, 16"; NATIONAL/SPECTRUM BRANDS HHI N130-641 3/4 x 10 Zinc Bolt Hook

Sturdy product

Product looks very sturdy, I payed for 3 and only got one, the box was broken, looks like it was taken, in any case Amazon is replacing the stolen items

Be Sure you order t least 2!

Although product description does use the plural "hinges," priced and shipped as1 hinge! If you scan way down to bottom thru bunch of stuff it says "1 item." Just read all the print - which I did not, it said hinges plural so thought I would get 2. That's the only reason I didn't give it a 5 overall rating.

This works great for my fence

I wanted something sturdy for a fence, and this fits the bill. Easy to install and I have great confidence that this will not fail. Just for reference, the fence in the picture is approx 50 inches long and 32 inches high comprised of cedar and pressure treated wood.

They are as advertised

This size is larger than most…be sure you are aware of the pin size required. Mine were too small; I was able to see some copper couplers as sleeves to tighten up my backer/pin union…I should have bought smaller ones but these are sturdy and as advertised

Easy to use

Very sturdy and easy to install. Easily found carriage bolts at my local hardware store to use to install this hinge. No complaints at all.

Fits pipe gates or flat metal gates

These were just the ticket for our old heavy farm gates. The only problem we had was shipping them in mailer bag not box. Ripped thru bag twice. Thru bolted on pipe gate. Slipped thru end slats on flat gate. Saved us 100's of dollars for new gates.

Awesome latch strap. Diameter of the pin area is non standard to chain link hardware.

Worked great to attach a wooden gate to a metal fence. I did have to alter the stock pin of my gate hardware to a stepped pin. This latch requires a larger diameter than standard gate hardware. After a quick alteration, the gate swings and is super sturdy. Attached a 4 ft x 6ft cedar gate to an existing chain link fence rail post.
