Exact duplicate of the pocket door mechanism in my 1988 house
I broke the pull on my old pocket door and was looking for a replacement. This is exactly what I needed, but they new brass is slightly less polished than the old brass ones I already had. Since these are double pocket doors, the old handle would be adjacent to the new one. To keep the look the same, I just disassembled the new and old handle and used the "outside" shell from the old unit.

Junk, beware this will test your patience!!!
After 3 failed attempts to install this latch, I decided to look it up on the internet. The reviews are correct, this is a piece of junk. I can't for the life of me get this latch to install properly. Our modern day design improvements have reached their breaking point. Instructions are almost useless, there is a forked piece of silver metal that I have no idea what it is used for. The strike plate hole is off center, so which way do you install it, up or down? The latching mechanism keeps falling apart when I insert the whole unit into the door, This happen three times, do you know the definition of insanity? Trying something over again, expecting different results. I do recommend that the product design team be fired for product.
