Good little set of counter sink
For wood and fiberglass they work good . I bought them for work and use them multiple times a week and I have been very satisfied with them. Like any precision tool use light pressure do not force it.

4-Stars with Potential for 5-Stars
I really like these Neiko countersink bits, but cannot give them 5-stars. I've only used them with wood (pine and fir), not metal. As other Amazon members have pointed out, they arrive dull. As a result, every wood application I've used them on has been left with small burrs and uneven surfaces in the countersink holes. However, the wood screws I use cover 90% of the wood burrs and hide the uneven countersink holes. The remaining 10% of problems visible around the screw head I can usually sand out. Since I am not a professional carpenter, these Neiko bits are excellent for personal woodworking projects. Even though they arrived dull, they haven't gotten worse with repeated use, meaning the metal is higher quality than some of my drill bits. With a bench grinder and the right angle, I believe it would be possible to sharpen these countersink bits to a 5-star sharpness. I am no expert on metal, but I believe that once sharpened, these Neiko countersink bits could maintain their sharpness for some time. They would definitely make smoother countersinks with fewer burrs. Unfortunately, I don't have an angle grinder. However, even at 50% sharpness, these bits make decent countersinks for an amateur like myself. If you have an angle grinder, it might be worth your time to look into these as opposed to Irwin or other more expensive brands. Wood doesn't care about the name on the tool; it only responds to how sharp or dull the tool is, as well as the skill behind it.

They are sharp.
Nice container look to be good quality and sharp.

Could be sharper
Good quality, but could be sharper. They also chatter quite a bit unless you countersink *before* drilling the screw hole rather than after. The case is a nice touch. Overall, Neiko makes decent stuff, but this product could use some refinement.

Good for DYI Use
Purchased the Neiko 10218A Countersink Drill Bit Set, M2 High Speed Steel, 1/4” Tri-Flat Shank | 1/4”-3/4”, 5 Piece Set with Carrying Case for general DIY use. The set arrived in an aluminum storage case. Even though the case is designed to hold the bits in a rubber-type padded insert, one of the bits came loose during shipping and it bounced around enough to dent the corner of the case. The case is still usable and there is no apparent damage to the bit. PROS • The 3-side bit shanks fit well and lock securely in all of our drill chucks. • Bits appear sharp but have not tested them on various materials. Little doubt they will work well in wood and soft aluminum….real test will be mild steel. • Good selection of sizes. CONS • Chucked each countersink bit in our commercial quality drill press (that has very little spindle runout) to check the wobble (runout) at the point of each bit. Two of the bits had very noticeable wobble. There is some question if we will be able to get a good quality countersink with those two bits. • Clasp on case is already loose so we don’t expect the case to last long. At least the hinges are holding together so far. Recommend you consider this product if you are interested in a low priced set for general use around the house (especially if you purchase the set during a Lightening Deal). Just don’t plan on using these bits where you need high accuracy countersinks. This product was not provided as a sample for this review, so none of these comments are influenced in any way by the seller.

Weak metal and too much bounce
This product may be good for wood working, but not for countersinking holes in metal. They just don't last. This my opinion.

Really rough holes
The build quality seems really good, I only gave them a 2/5 due to the rough finish they leave. My old ones were a single flute and left a perfectly smooth countersink, these leave a jagged rough hole that you would never want for finished work. If you are using these in a concealed spot, they are likely a 4/5. Only reason for the 1 star deduction was because I did seem to think I needed to push really hard even in pine to get the countersink vs my $20 single flute set.

Not the quality I expect of Neiko
I have purchased a fair amount of Neiko items over the past few years, and have always been satisfied with the quality. The finish on these bits is dismal at best. The cutting edges of the flutes are really rough, and poorly finished. Pretty scabby looking. In hindsight, I would have spent a bit extra and gotten something better.

quality item
they are well made and come in a nice box...3 flats on the shank insure positive grip in the chuck...that extra bit of manufacture tells you they are superior in build.

disappointed with their performance
nice kit and nice and sharp, however these bits cut a corrugated-like counter sink dives, not nice and smooth. Quite disappointed with their performance for the money. My old, much cheaper set, cut a much smoother divit.

Good for the price
Pretty good. Nothing to write home about, but they’re pretty good for the price. I use them on aluminum and so far so good. I’d say they’re on par with Irwin
