Great for disc golf
Bought this to see how fast I was throwing disc golf discs. Thought it was broke at first because it kept blinking the same speed over and over again but realized it was being set off by a commercial furnace that was behind me. I use this right behind a baseball net and works perfect.

Does not work
I attempted to use this for my tennis serve. The instructions indicate that the radar needs to be in front of the net by a few feet and generally aimed at you. They even say that the angle of detection is fabulous! LIE. At that position, the radar would pick up maybe 5% of my serves. To get it to work most reliably, I had to put it just beyond the service box on the opposite side of the net and have it angled within 5 degrees of my service trajectory. It is very challenging to get 50 serves to travel within the same 5 degree path-width. Even with this setup, I'd get at most 30% response rate on the radar. 80% of those identified the ball speed after the bounce, which is significantly lower than the original speed. I had to focus so much on trajectory accuracy that even when the radar picked up the initial speed, it was significantly slower than my typical serve.

using for golf swing speed
Seems to work best if you place the unit on the ground directly in the path of your swing while allowing space for the club head to pass without striking the unit. I am getting roughly the same speed as my prior radar but this unit records speed so you can review past 10 efforts and since it was a used unit i paid much less than my prior other company radar. Furthermore the other unit was difficult to see if the sun was affecting your line of site this unit lights up in red so very easy to see, no more bending and squinting

Good for young athletes
We used NET PLAYZ Smart Baseball trainer combo with sport radar for our High School Baseball athlete. We were impressed with how easy it to use and set up. We highly recommend the radar for 13 and younger baseball pitchers. The accuracy for that age group is pretty good. For high school baseball pitchers, this may not be the best radar to use. High School pitching coaches use a radar gun which is the most accurate too for measuring pitching velocity.

Great product. I used it at a soccer tournament ...
Great product. I used it at a soccer tournament for a speed shot game all day. It was set up on a 2 foot high table behind the net. It picked up the speed of almost every shot which were taken from about 10 feet back. The radar was reliable and consistent, and the reset time was perfect. The angle of the radar is adjustable and it sits on the tripod. My only hesitation would be that with continuous use the tripod seems like it could end up breaking.

Wildly inaccurate
I understand I’m not a professional at any throwing sports, but getting 20+mph variance in consistent throws, (when it picks them up) makes me think it’s quite inaccurate.

Great prompt customer service
Used it for 2 sessions and then it stopped working. It would flash random number constantly. Contacted manufacturer and they called me within an hour. I wasn't able to talk so they sent me an email asking me to try some things to make it work. After that failed they sent me a brand new unit at no charge.

Good for the cost.
Seemed decent for low cost. Bought it for a lacrosse party. Kids loved it. Doesn't stand well. You need to shoot very close to it in order for it to register. Our son still uses it in the backyard. For the price, compared to the other way too expensive ones, this one is good.

Useful, Sturdy Piece of Equipment
Seems like a well made unit that won't fall apart with a few uses. Hard to determine if it is accurate or not, but it is consistent, which for it's purpose is what is most important. We use it for hockey and it can be placed safely behind the net. Had to adjust the angle and point it slightly angled to the ceiling to avoid measuring the wind-up on a slap-shot. Very useful for teaching different techniques and how much more effective proper technique is. Also good to keep players engaged, trying to outdo one another or their personal best. Keeps it engaging. At this point it has been a worthwhile investment as a training aid and as a novel item to keep things interesting.

Not durable for the use
This was set up exactly as instructed and the frame is directly behind the pitching zone and shattered on the second pitch by a child. The design could use some work you are better off getting the radar detector alone with a good quality net.
