Runs small

Bought this for my daughter. I was happy to find a Mario brothers shirt in purple. She loves it, but the fit is quite small. She is nearly 6 years old, 35 lbs, and about 42 inches tall. I ended up ordering the small because of other reviews. It fits her quite well. I would normally order x-small and expect her to have a bit of room to grow.
