PRODUCT DESCRIPTION NuVein thigh length closed-toe Embolism Stockings are often referred to as surgical socks or post surgery compression socks. This embolism style medical hosiery is used to reduce the risk of blood clots (pulmonary embolism) following medical procedures such sclerotherapy, EVLT, or general vascular surgery that is related to the venous system (treatment of varicose and spider veins). Embolism socks have a higher compression rating at the ankle, which acts as a ThromboEmbolic Deterrent aka "ted" style to prevent DVT (pooling of blood in the extremities) when limited movement, recovery, or bed confined patients must remain flat on their back or in recuperating positions following surgery. The higher ankle compression mitigates swelling and ensures proper blood flow while reducing the danger of clots traveling back to the heart, lungs, or brain. Graduated compression is incorporated into the leg profile, meaning the compression pressure (measured in mmHg) or "tightness" is gradually reduced from ankle to thigh in an even gradient over the calf. The open toe style can accommodate larger feet and allows for inspection of toes, while also allowing for sandal foot wear. Closed toe options have an oversize toe box meant to allow increased movement of toes, and ensure sensitive conditions such as hammer toes, blisters, bruising, bunions and corns are not irritated or compressed together. The ideal use case is users needing a medical product for recovery and optimal circulatory health. Compression at ankle is 18 mmHg. Overall compression gradient is 15-20 mmHg. Measure according to size chart image. Made in the USA. MANUFACTURER CONTACT INFORMATION Surgical Appliance Industries

Stockings Fall down
Medical treatment for water, edema, in my legs needing support hoses. After one use the stockings slid down to my knees on both legs during the day's activities. Being a guy I didn't have or would use garter belts to hold them up. I'm switching back to 1/2 torso stockings with waist bands which work at a higher cost.

Relief from restless legs
I tried knee high stockings to help with restless legs during sleep, but my thighs would twitch. Tried these and now I can sleep no problem. Recommend these for RLS sufferers

Very comfortable
I was very satisfied with these stockings . I used them for 2 weeks after my surgery . They are comfortable and the material is very good quality, it’s also breathable so you don’t feel like your legs are cooking in them . The nurse that helped me put them on said they were the best looking compression stockings she had ever seen . I definitely recommend these .

Need some work at the thigh area
Incredibly difficult to get on but I guess that’s what they were made for therefore “compression”. Also purchased the toeless type and like them much better. The only problem is that after a couple of hours they won’t stay up. Whatever material at the thighs loosens and they roll down. I am still using as they seem to be doing what they’re supposed to be doing
