Induction fans are noisy.
Works just fine, looks nice, seems pretty solid (giving the impression it will not break easily). This is my first induction stove, so maybe it is not fair of me to drop a star for noise level since, as I understand, they pretty much all need a fan to operate. Imagine running the stove overhead vent fan every time you use the stove...makes cooking definitely less fun. Overall, I prefer to use my old-style electric hot plate, primarily due to its silent operation, and the benefit of an analog temperature dial instead of repeatedly pressing the + and - buttons to dial in temperature changes digitally.

Not very accurate with temperatures
First time trying an induction cooker. We switched to the Timed Rate Plan of our electrical service so electricity costs 2.8 times as much during the evening hours when I want to cook dinner. I did not want to microwave everything so I decided to give the induction cooker a try. This seems to heat water faster than my in-counter glass cook top stove so I am guessing the induction cooker is more energy efficient than the range top. On my first time cooking a steak dinner (with mushrooms & onions) I started off pushing the medium temp button and start. Very quickly it started melting the butter in my Ecowin fry pan. I added the mushrooms and onions to let them start cooking while I did some prep to the steak. It looked like it was cooking fast; the temp for the medium button is 275 so I pushed the medium low button (175 deg) to slow things down. After a few minutes, I added the steak and noticed there was still a lot of sizzle and it looked like it was still cooking hard. I grabbed my non-contact, infrared thermometer and temp in the fry pan was at 300 degrees. I noticed the watt selector was set at 1300 and set it to 600. It took a few minutes to cook the steak and after I pulled the steak out, I checked the temperature again. The temp varied from 200 at the outer edge of the 10" Ecowin pan to about 240 close to the center. I cleaned off the 10" Ecowin and put about 1/2" of water in the pan and started the NewWave induction cooker back up. I was pleased that it remembered my last settings and came on at 600 watts and 175 degrees. It only took a couple of minutes and the water was simmering in the fry pan. The infrared thermometer was reading 190 to 200 degrees. Since there was a nice pattern of bubbles in the pan and I had seen other people complaining about the size, I grabbed a tape measure; the large bubbles were 6.5" across with a little bit of smaller bubbles outside the 6.5" middle zone. The fan is noticeable, but it is not too bad. All in all, I like this unit, but it will take me a while to figure out what to set the watts and temperature to to get the cooking I want; I know from experience that I need to set the range top to 4 out of 10 to get the steak cooked the way I like it and I will quickly learn what setting to use with the induction cooker.

Testing 1-2-3
I owned a restaurant years ago and since retiring I still love to cook. Our electric stoves controls are starting to not adjust well and it's honestly time to get a new range top. I'd like to look at induction but I had never used it until now. I love this thing, it has great control, heats super fast and cleans so well. I'll be spending the extra on an induction range top and keep this little beauty in my man-cave bar.

Love my Nuwave
Stovetop died and I bought this to use until I could get a new one. Once I got used to the temperature thing, it was great. I have a new stove and still use this. Also I love that it's portable. I can take it to work and make a nice lunch for our small office. My only disappointment is the plastic over the keypad is wearing out and breaking over the buttons. I've taped them over but they need to use a more resilient plastic sheet for the keypad. If someone loses that printed dot and don't recall what it was, they're screwed.

Great for small places
I’m on my third one just love this burner. I like the fact that you can adjust the wattage use that helps me not blow circuits in the house and I like the fact that you can program your cooking times and temperatures so that you don’t have to turn it back on after an hour, I also like the fact that it has a automatic turn off feature. Easy to clean easy to use and can be stored when you want counter space.

Keeps my stove clean.
I had this same model for about three years and it broke and I have no idea why. But I liked how this keeps grease splatters off of my stove and the only clean-up I have is the counter where it's located.

Works well
A nice addition to my kitchen. I don't have the low temperature control I need for making sauces on my stove, so I bought this for that purpose. Controls low temps well... No more burned sauces. Just make sure you have good quality compatible pots/pans.

Excellent
My stove went out, so I bought this for a temporary fix. I used it the same day I purchased it to make fajitas. It heated up very quickly on high with a large, heavy, stainless steel pan. When you remove the pan, the device turns off as a safety feature. Worked better than my stovetop did. It’s a nice size and doesn’t take up too much room.
