The Nutri-Pot can even make some cheaper, tougher cuts of meat more tender and juicier by breaking down tough connective tissues in this pressurized environment. EASY & CONVENIENT – Operating the Nutri-Pot is incredibly simple thanks to the 11 touch & go preset cooking functions along with 6 advanced features. It includes a Sear function to perfectly brown your favorite meats and a Warm feature to keep your meals at the ideal temperature until you’re ready to eat. The Texture button lets you customize the amount of time used for the 11 presets to ensure your meals come out at the perfect consistency. PRESSURE COOKING MADE SAFE – Only the Nutri-Pot features the Sure-Lock safety system which ensures the Nutri-Pot will only pressurize when the lid is securely in place and remains in place. This system includes a 3-point lid lock system, a bottom pressure switch, a food blocking cap, a pressure release safety device and a thermostat which all work in tandem to ensure the Nutri-Pot’s lid safely locks and the pressure can be safely released while maintaining a safe temperature. MEALS MADE FAST – The secret behind the Nutri-Pot is the pressurized steam. Once the Nutri-Pot’s lid is closed and sealed, it quickly brings the water inside to a boil, creating a supersaturated steam environment that cooks faster, preserves moisture, and infuses your meals with flavor. It has a hinged lid!
Just purchased this as replacement for a different brand. The directions are not always clear and have left me trying to figure out the lid. It’s really simple to just open and close the hinged lid but, doesn’t really explain how to get lid off/on the base or wether it is supposed attached for cleaning, slow cooking or when the glass lid is being used. This is my 3rd electric pressure cooker and I’m hoping it is more serviceable than the first 2. Will update review with experience.

Booklet could be more informative
The booklet provided with the 8-qt digital cooker could be more informative. It does not tell one how to remove the inner lid, nor are there any instructions on use as a slow cooker or rice steamer.
