Great jacket

I’ve used this jacket numerous times this season. It’s awesome. Here’s why: 1. It’s lightweight AND warm. I like layering to ski, and I didn’t want a super bulky coat. Plus it’s pretty waterproof! 2. Great quality everything. The zippers, the fabric, the snaps, the sleeve cuffs…every thing works perfectly and easily. There are lots of little features like an inside goggles pocket (I use for glove liners), sleeve pocket (I use for Kleenex, and many other pockets. I didn’t think I’d like the powder skirt, but it fits perfectly and stays in place all day. 3. Good fit. I’m pretty curvy so I got this a size big (which I do with most winter coats). I personally wish it was a little more generous on the hips and a little less generous around the torso, but I suspect it’ll fit other people well. I appreciate that it’s got enough room to layer underneath and flex with me while I ski. 4. Value. I got this VERY discounted on the off season. I wouldn’t pay $300 for it, but I’m very happy with the price I did pay. Downside: WHY DO SKI MANUFACTURERS MAKE WHITE COATS??? Stop it!! They’re hard to see on the slopes and they collect dirt no matter how careful you are. I would much have preferred the red or navy but alas, they were out.

Comfortable ski jacket

I am 5'6" and 130lbs and I settled on the size 10 jacket. The size 8 fit okay but I wanted more room in the back (for when I reach forward) and longer sleeves.

Runs a little bit large

The quality and features of this jacket are great. The color is a true red. I like the styling. However, I found this jacket to run quite large and the sleeves were very long. I have another Obermeyer ski jacket in a size 8 that fits great. I had to return the 8 and order a size 6. It probably depends on how you like your jacket to fit.
