Bar could be bigger/weigh more

Looks great, bottom has silicon so it doesn’t slide around. I just wish the bar weighed a bit more so it would stay put when I pull a napkin out. Otherwise very happy with it

Came quick andI like it

I hadpurchasedan expandable upright napkin holder which was horrible since you pull one out then others would fall out or when you ran low they would slump or fall out. This one is flat and you can put quite a few in. I have left the bar on the bottom since I don't need it inside. IfI take it out to my deck table then I will move it on top of the napkins if the wind is lowing. Keeping iron the bottom you do not notice it there. It's better than storing in a drawer where you might forget it. Only thing that could be better is the plastic bottom the napkins seton. The very bottom is thin metal but has nice cushions on each corner so it will not move around on your counter or table

Bottom plate won’t stay glued on

I received it with the bottom metal plate separated. It had come unglued. I tried gluing it back on and again it came apart. I’m not certain what purpose it even serves and really isn’t necessary for it to hold the napkins. Just disappointed that it won’t stay attached. I bought it in hopes that when pulling out a napkin I would only get one and the rest would stay flat under the bar. That almost never happens.

Better off used indoors without that bar

Same as the others' opinions--this is nicely weighted and holds half a package of the Vanity Fair napkins that we use. But, that bar doesn't work unless you have the napkin holder half full and, even then, it will pop off, if you don't remove the napkin in a gentle manner, so we don't use the bar. Since we're using the holder inside the house, we don't have to worry about random breezes blowing them away!

great buy!

I use with "vanity fair everyday napkins" and it works perfectly. I love the weighted bar because we keep near the window and I like to have fresh air in the house as much as possible. The best part is that... you take a napkin and it doesn't cause the others to look a mess. The husband is finally using a napkin rather than more costly paper towels since this holder "actually does it's job" and taking a napkin is no longer such a P.I.T.A.

great low-profile daily use functional napkin holder

I wanted a low-profile, minimalist napkin holder to hold daily-use napkins available but not just sitting on the counter. Prior buyers' feedback about the retaining rod not being very useful when indoors was spot-on. I use it on the counter top without the retaining rod, and it is great. The simple design keeps it from clashing with the rest of our decor. Love it!
