Perfect part!

I don’t normally post reviews. Was overhauling my drip irrigation system and needed something to connect the 1/2 inch poly line up the elbow coming off the main line. Nothing off the shelf at the big box stores worked. I started scouring online looking for a fitting and came across this. It was perfect and solved my issue without leaks beautifully.

Easy to install. No leaks!

Easy to install. No leaks. The only negative is that when the valve is open, it’s not “wide open”. That is, there is still a little bit of restricted flow. But, it still works okay.

Worked very well. The cut needs to be square and the gap needs to be pretty close. If you have that right, valve hold well. No leaks.

No fuss no leaks

Easy to install and it does not leak. Much better than the barb and nut style that I threw away and replaced with this.

Hard to find a decent shutoff valve that compression fits the tubes from the depot

Easy to Connect, not so Easy to Disconnect

We have set up a series of watering cups (only head pressure) and use irrigation hosing to deliver the water to the different bird pens. These connectors are great for connecting the hose and why they advertise that they can be easily disconnected, the reality is that it takes considerable effort to remove the hose from them. On the flip side, they seal well and leaks are rare. They do not take well to freezing so it is important to have the system drained unless you want to lose them to cracking.
