My favorite diaper
I really didn't expect to but these are my absolute favorite diaper with a cover. I started using these when my son was 5.5lbs and still do at 7lbs with room to grow. I use them with happy flute covers and my lo can sleep for 5+ hours on his side, no other diaper solution has been able to do that. I will be buying more.

WAY higher quality than the big name brands, only 4 stars because some were sewn unevenly
I bought these because I wanted some newborn size ones, but family gave us (new) some gerber ones... it's night and day difference. these are thick, substantial, and a perfectly tight weave - not too open, not too stiff and tight- and the gerbers are thin, light, and the weave is obviously way too loose to either hold much liquid or to hold up to much wear. my only complaint about these is that the thick center portion seems to have been sewn off-center on a few of them which makes folding them to put them on a bit trickier than it should be, they don't want to fold over where I want them to. as far as their intended job goes, I can't tell the funky ones from the normal ones. long story short, these are high quality, like the ones I remember from my own childhood, and they'll likely outlast my child's use of them. yes, they were hydrophobic at first and needed 4-5 washings before they really reached their full absorbency. I was annoyed at the time because I wanted to use them right away, but looking back it was no big deal. I don't really understand why they don't do it at the factory, though...

Lasted 17 months
Absorbent and pretty durable. We used with Snappies initially, then transitioned to trifolding them inside a waterproof cover. After 17 months of use (and baby now well outside the weight range at a hefty 25 lbs.), fraying started to occur in these prefolds and the flats we bought from the same company. Considering we have washed them 150-200 times, I would still say they’re durable. We wash them with an eco-friendly detergent on tap cold, in a heavy soil cycle including a prewash and extra rinse, then dry them in the sun, occasionally with lemon juice to bleach out stains. No chlorine bleach. My husband uses the frayed ones for rags now, and I’m hoping we have enough intact diapers to get her through elimination communication/ potty training without buying more. We originally bought a dozen of these, a dozen flats, a dozen waterproof covers, and a dozen microfiber pocket diapers. We use the organic cotton ones during the day (so she can feels when she gets them wet) with waterproof cover, and microfiber pocket diapers at night with a wool puddle pad on the bed. During the day, we also try cotton underwear and trainers (padded pull-up underwear) after she’s successfully gone in the potty. This system has worked well for us, as she’s increasingly going in the potty as opposed to diapers.

Great way to cloth diaper!
I love these for cloth diapering! This is all I have used so I don’t have much else to compare to. But when I was researching and looking at different prefolds and inserts I went with these because I figured organic cotton would be the simplest and easiest to use and clean. I was confused by all the bamboo and hemp etc options. I’ve been using for 2 months on my baby girl. They are holding up well. I do a cold rinse, hot wash with detergent and white vinegar during the rinse. These hold over night well too. I usually change her into a disposable over night, but on nights I fall asleep before I can change her they do fine and don’t leak. I do a twist fold and have found that to be the most slim on my daughter. Tri folding was too bulky and other folds were too complicated for me ????. Anyway just wanted to share my experience. These are an awesome inexpensive way to get into cloth diapering!

Great Cloth Diapers
Our doctor recommended considering cloth diapers when we found out we were going to be having our first baby. After extensive research we decided to go with the “pre folds and cover” route rather than pocket diapers to hopefully stretch our diaper stash a little further by being able to reuse the covers. We purchased two packs of these diapers in different sizes along with several types of bamboo inserts to use and try. As far as cloth diapering goes, these are my preferred diaper choice to go with the covers. They hold a good deal of liquid and absorb quickly so that nothing has a chance to run into the cover. They also seem to stay in place a bit better, even if my baby gets squirmy while sleeping or I wear him in a carrier. They do need to be washed 4-5 times before their first use, and they will shrink, but they do not shrink so much that you can’t still use them on a larger baby. They are a bit bulky on a newborn and it can make them need a larger size onesie from the start, but as mentioned, the absorbency is great with these. I haven’t had any problems with stitching coming apart and they wash and dry easily. They do get a bit stained, but I believe that’s to be expected with any light colored cloth diaper. I am pleased with this purchase and especially for the price of these compared to buying other cloth diapers I feel like they do their job extremely well.

Good enough
So, four stars because they don't fit my baby. She's 11lbs, so well within the stated weight range. It could be shrinkage, but I haven't measured since washing them to be sure. It's kind of annoying because I had planned to use them angel-folded amd jellyrolled with snappies. But folded this way they barely fit across her belly/waist. Not a huge deal as they work well tri-folded as a lay in insert, and also work well with her nappy belt (we EC, so she's not always in regular nappies). And of course they're wonderful to have on hand as a burp cloth, for spills and to pop under her bum in case of a pee when she naps in her hammock. Other then the fit issue, they wash and dry well. Are softening and fluffing up really nicely. And will get a ton of use here even if they don't fit baby how I wanted them to. Reasonably priced and good quality. (We have toddler size GMD workhorse prefolds I still use around my house six years on!). If I were planning on only using prefolds, I'd buy from Green Mountain diapers as I know the sizing and quality is on point. But I sew and have made her a bunch of preflats from bamboo jersey, so these were only to have as backups. And they're fine for that.

Los amo! Buenazos, bonitos y baratos!
