Sturdy and can be used in either hand

I have good luck with Oxo products. I bought these in three different sizes. I especially like them because they can be used in the right or left hand unlike the lever type scoops. Also they are easier to use since the squeeze motion is done in the palm of the hand.

Nice scooper, a little small

I love OXO products for the most part. This scooper is easy to hold and scoop out thick batters. I just wish OXO had them in bigger, like 1/4 cup, 1/2 cup. This one is 3 TB, which is 1 TBS less than 1/4 cup.

Good stuff!

Bigger grandkids mean bigger cookies, and this fits the bill! I have a little arthritis in my hand and OXO scoops work the best for me.

Better spring

This one has a better spring and scoops out the dough better than others I have used

Seems a bit awkward and flimsy.

Somewhere in my past I’ve used scoops that were solid and UN-flimsy. But I don’t cook much anymore, so this has to do, for cookie dough that bakes best when cookies are equally sized.

Oxo large batter scoop

I have other Oxo kitchen products and have been very pleased with them. I had my eye on this large scoop for some time, waiting for a Lightening or other deal. . Finally on Prime Day it happened. 72 hours later it was washed and scooping muffin batter. Great item with easy batter release, batter bowl scoops enough batter to give an equal hearty fill into each muffin cup. Size and baking becomes uniform. Product is well made, has a half decent heft but not overwhelming and the mechanism runs smoothly, it cleans up well, hangs nicely on a Command or other type hook. So far very happy with this, we will see how good it is with cookies during the holiday cookie bake.

Works as expected (worth the money)

I was tempted to buy a cheaper scoop but then remembered I have done that a few times already and non of them have worked as I wanted them to. I am very pleased to say that the extra money spent buying this has paid off and I can now get rid of the others. After watching many different recipe videos where people have used scoops to measure out biscuit mixtures and other small treats to bake in the oven using one of these, I decided to buy this one and it works perfectly. It seems strong, robust and very easy to use too. I have not tried using it with ice cream but I am sure it would work fine for that too. I have other OXO kitchen tools and they have always been really great so I will remember that next time I go to buy something else and spend the extra money to get something that actually does what it is meant to and not waste money on other cheaper versions.

Broke first time using it

This seemed like it was going to be great and OXO products usually are, but it unfortunately broke the first time I tried to use it. So disappointing. Returned for refund.
