I was convinced by my environmentalist daughter to STOP buying plastic that would only end up in the landfill. This wooden flatware is so much more attractive, so much more practical - and I don't feel guilty about tossing it away after a party or gathering. It really is the sensible alternative.

Issue when used w/hot foods
Spoon bowl goes flat when used with hot foods. Not a problem with cold or thick foods such as yogurt or oatmeal. Spoon has limited use for hot foods like soup. Spoon on left in photo: new; spoon on right: after 10 minutes in oatmeal.
