Not correct size even though chose Ford
I bought this to change out bearings in my 2000 F350 super Duty and while the 4 pronged pattern was what I needed it was 1 or 2 millimeters too small in the diameter and wouldn't make the span to lock into place. The wording said it was for ford super duty. Maybe its for the F250 but doesn't work on the f350 rear axle lock nut. I even got the suggested one from O'Reilly's and still the diameter was not quite big enough but closer than this one from Amazon and with some grinding I was able to fabricate the O'Reilly tool to work.

This is a great spanner tool for 4X4 Spindle nuts
This fits nuts that measure 2.5" OD and 2.25" across the notches. The great thing about this tool is that the OD goes over the nut so it will not slip off. The only issue I can see is that the major OD of the tool is 3.01", It might not fit into some more petite hubs. I used this to install the spindle nuts on a Yukon "Free Spin" kit. I did relieve the tool in one area to provide clearance for the locking pin on the inner nut. Without that relief the nut does not set perfectly square in the tool. That makes it easier to start the nut with less risk of cross threading. Jim

I needed this socket asap for a customer's truck. This got me out of a tight spot so I no longer have to rent this from the mopar dealer. Worth the money in gas alone to go rent it!! Buy it

2004 E350 FORD CANADA
Performance Tool W83008 Performance Tool 4 Lug Spindle Nut Wrench for Ford 1985 to Current F-250 and F-350- The tool has good fit and performance. I removed and reinstalled the spindle nut without a problem. I used it on a 2004 E350 Canadian cube van. The first picture of the spindle nut has yellow dots where the tool pins fit into. I required it to remove the hub and bearing assembly to replace the brake rotor/drum that is bolted with E18 Torx fasteners to the hub.
