Pond Shield is a non-toxic epoxy liner, made in the U.S.A designed for the pond and water feature industry. It is used to waterproof and seal water features or ponds with a more designer, formal or natural look than rubber liners. Using Pond Shield epoxy means no more unsightly folds or creases. In addition, unlike rubber liners, there are eleven Standard colors available - Black, Charcoal Gray, Chocolate Brown, Clear, Competition Blue, Delta Blue, Gray, Moss Green, Sky Blue, Tan and White. Pond Shield is used for waterproofing structured surfaces found in water features such as Koi ponds, pools, fountains, aquariums, salt water tanks, hydroponics, streams, waterfalls, reflecting pools, mini lakes, holding tanks, etc. It is easily applied and easy to maintain and for most applications, a single coat application is all that is needed for proper coverage. In addition, your pond will be virtually maintenance free with a surface that algae can be easily wiped off of and is safe for fish (and other wildlife) and plants. Pond Shield offers both strength and flexibility in a coating in fact, strength and flexibility that is tested from -78 Degree F to 140 Degree F. Pond Shield is an epoxy pond liner that has been specifically designed to bond to porous or abraded materials such as concrete, wood, stone, most metals (treated and non-treated), brick, most ridged plastics, tile and many more. With a tensile bond strength stronger than the internal strength of the concrete, a single coat of Pond Shield epoxy will stick to what you apply it to. Over time, hairline cracks can form in concrete, mortar or grout joints. Being flexible, Pond Shield resists mimic cracking in these areas and provides the best protection possible in a coating.

Can be applied to any constructed surface made of wood metal or stone as well as most plastics and other coatings. Can be put into service in as little as 24 hours. Self priming formula allows for reliable adhesion for a finished surface that is easy to maintain. Specifically designed for underwater use and to be non toxic and fish and plant safe. Water proof formula suitable for use in a wide range of climatic environments from hot to freeze/thaw conditions.

So far so good the paint is really thick how to thin down with alcohol the first time trying to paint was rough after I send it down it went on real nice not sure how long it’s going to last just put it on will see you next year

Pretty good product
I used this to coat a plywood terrarium that will hold hermit crabs. The cans are not easy to manage, it gets everywhere, but once out of the cans it's easy to mix. I used 91% isopropyl alcohol to thin the mixture. My only complaint is that it didn't cover as much as it was supposed to (60 sq ft). Otherwise, I would recommend and use it again.

Works well, but pay attention to the working time
This is easy to mix and use, and the two parts will remain usable in their cans if you don't need it all at once. The working time of epoxy is about 20 minutes, so depending on what you're doing, you may or may not be able to spread it all before it hardens. In my experience, it goes from liquid to chunky to unusable in about three minutes on a warm day. It has a glossy finish when hardened.

Works great
It works great just don't mix too much. It dries really quick. It creates heat when mixed so don't mix it all at once unless your going to pour it out and spread it all.

Was perfect for my fountain

This Did The Job!
I used this for sealing a leaking fountain. I followed the directions precisely and the results were excellent. No more leaks! Having colors (including clear) other than black or white is a big plus, I chose tan. For those that have remarked about the coverage not being 60 square feet for the 1.5 quart kit, I would agree. But remember, the 60 square feet was simply based on the thickness of the coat. If the coat thickness is .02 inches instead of .01 inches (10 mil), the coverage drops to 30 square feet. I had a fairly small project so coverage was not an issue. The thickness on the bottom of the fountain had to be at least .125 inches. Still, I think the manufacturer should make the coverage value 30-60 square feet. One final note. Work fast with this stuff because when it starts to set, the painting is over.

What a life saver and a $$$ saver!
What a life saver. My pool's fountain developed a few leaks in the basin of the fountain over the years. It got bad this year. I talked to a contractor who wanted a small fortune to fix the leaks. After a little investigation I ran into this product and a few nice reviews. I bought this, read the instructions, mix the epoxy and hardener, and painted 2 coats on the basin waiting for the 1st coat to dry. You have to work quickly due to how quick the hardener dries. 2 months have gone by and not one drop of pool water has leaked out. I did find that it took about 1/3 to 1/2 of the epoxy to put the two good coats on and area of about 3 square feet. If, in the future, it develops another leak I have enough to coat it again.

No leaks!
I haven't worked with epoxy much, so I can't compare pond Armor epoxy to any other, but if results are what count, I glad I finally bought this epoxy! The concrete spillway between my ponds had been leaking for years, and I had to refill the lower pond after only a few hours. After power washing the whole area to get rid of built-up gunk, I carefully rolled a double coat of Pond Armor epoxy onto the spillway and the leaks are gone! I can now run the waterfall all day without significant water loss. I'm delighted!

It was missing the second can!
The product was only half inside. Only had one can when it clearly should have had two. Update: They replaced the second can when shipping weight was clearly half what it should have been.
