Stylish - Fan works great

I appreciate this fan because it's a minimalist style and DOES NOT require the use of a remote control, it has old-fashioned pull-strings to make it work. My last (new) fan was $160 and the remote's receiver (inside the unit) went wonky after 3 months. The fan has three speeds that are absolutely silent while operating. I gave it four stars instead of five because the light doesn't work, but I don't really care because this type of "built-in" LED lamp is insufficient anyway.

Looks good but noisy

The fan is really good looking. love the color. It was not very difficult to install. We bought 2 of these fans but one turned out to be defective. It motor gave foul burning smell when the fan was left on for an hour. We returned it. The second piece was good. It is a loud fan. Doesn't bother us much but if you need a quiet room at night, this is not the fan for you if you keep it at full speed.

Looks nice but light is dim

Overall very happy, looks nice and was moderate/average to install for something like this (husband and I tackled it together and got it done in just under an hour, but to be fair he does construction and has installed some of these before and has some basic electrical knowledge). Only problem I have is that the light is so central and downward facing that it makes it dim, especially if you don't have high ceilings. Not a deal breaker for me because I prefer lamps and candles over ceiling lighting anyway. The fan is very quiet, so much so that we were unsure what speed it was on when we first turned the fan on (it was on high and barely noticeable for sound), but it definitely moves air.

Elegant, quiet, and efficient: a great buy

I am pleased with my purchase of the Portage Bay Madrona Ceiling Fan. The installation process, although completed by a professional electrician, seemed easy and straightforward. The fan itself is simple yet elegant with only 3 blades, but it definitely packs a punch when it comes to circulating air in the room. One of the best things about this fan is how quiet it runs - it's almost unnoticeable when it's on. The added bonus of the LED light in the center is a nice touch and provides ample lighting. The only downside is the absence of a remote control, but the pull string option is still easy to use. Overall, I highly recommend this to anyone in the market for a stylish and efficient addition to their home.

Beautiful modern fan at great value

We ordered 2 of the gun metal and one of the bronze. Both gun metal fans are great and went in smoothly with no issues. The bronze fan is more of a matte black than an oil rubbed bronze and the blades are slightly different than pictured - something to keep in mind when color matching (see photo). The bronze fan also had a pretty strong wobble on the high speed only, even with the balancing weights provided. No wobble issues with the gun metal though. This fan is the perfect size for a smaller room, in our son’s room and guest bedroom that are about 12x12 they fit great. It does look a bit small in our master bedroom which is about 16x18 - the blades themselves are a good size but the light part in the middle looks too narrow in this sized room. It’s true as others have stated that the light isn’t too bright- something we don’t mind since we have a lot of lamps and prefer natural light. Took our electrician about 45 min per fan to install. It gives off great airflow however and is very quiet, a great deal for the price and the aesthetic of it is just amazing! Would recommend to anyone looking for a fan, just keep these things in mind!

Nice way to dress up a space.

Put this in the living area & dining. It quietly gets the job done. Highly recommend if you want to elevate your space & not break the bank. I would buy again
