Get's the job done.
Didn't fit exactly like the original, but finally got the job done after a minor modification. Other than that it would have been 5 stars. Been a few months now and no complaints from the owner so I guess it's all good.

Worked great in my security door.
I decided I wanted to redo my security door on my front door. I had the rescreening done I had taken the door off and heads pink painted it a dark bronze but needed a new handle. The old handle was very loose and didn’t close well. With a little bit of adjustment this fit perfect and the door closes nice and tight. We also have a very good deadbolt that works now also. Great handle.

Very difficult to lock & unlock
After installing this latch/locking system on my security screen door I found that it was pretty difficult to lock&unlock, but just thought that it was because it was new and would probably get easier in time. That wasn’t the case. It now is so hard to operate that my wife & I have to use vice grips just to be able to unlock or lock from inside the house. If leaving the house we’re afraid to lock the security door because it uses a key to unlock and we’re concerned that we might not be able to unlock, or even worse might break the key off inside the lock because it is extremely difficult to unlock using the key.

New Lock for my Screen Door
I've had this screen door since I bought the house 18 years ago, and finally I got around to replace the lock that didn't work. I started looking at the big box hardware stores and couldn't find anything that matched. So on to Amazon and on the first page, this locking replacement handle comes up. I checked the dimensions and they matched my old handle. So, once the old locking handle was remove (I had to drill it out as I didn't have the key), the new Prime-Line Security Door lock and handle fit perfectly. it took all of about 10 minutes. I even like the black as my screen door is white.. nice offsetting color. I now feel more secure now that the screen door lock works. I do recommend this product.

Works Perfect Replacing My Old Lock
My old lock finally fell apart after many years. Since this lock has no names on it no hardware stores, windows and doors shops and also security door shops in the Prescott, AZ. area could identify or have replacement parts. Lucky after searching Ebay and Amazon I found the K 5092 lock that matched up to what I have. Owning this Prime-Line Products K5092 if you're having problems with the door handle lock or the key deadbolt make sure everything is lined up straight and not at any angles because from my past experience if you angle any part of this lock it won't work right and will bind and not work. Lucky for me it was just Plug N Play since I've owned this K 5092 lock for many years on my french security doors. I'm very happy with this lock and would recommend it to everyone.

My 80’s home screen door’s best fit
My screen door lock has been missing for almost 2 years. I couldn’t find the right replacement. After researching it with ace hardware store help, I found this piece. It’s a perfect match. When it comes in, the lock insert is broken, so I just used my old lock insert and it matches perfectly. so happy! finally have a screen lock so i can open the door to flow fresh air.

The original latch and lock lasted over30 years. This replacement should outlive the steel door.
Needed a more blatant explanation on how to change the handing. I didn't understand what handing meant. Maybe a small brochure explaining right vs left-hand latches.

Reversible original equipment screen door lock. I wish it were made with better quality metal.
The two handle assemblies and most of the locking mechanism is made out of some kind of crappy pewter. That being said, if this is the style of lock your door came with, it will definitely work and probably hold up as long as the original. It can be reversed for left or right swinging doors by removing one screw and turning around the part that goes into the striker plate on the door jamb. Super easy and explained in the instructions.
