These shelf pegs are constructed of plastic and come in a clear finish for increased concealment. They are designed to receive 3/4 in. Thick shelves and can Support a maximum of 5 Lbs. Each, per peg. The Main feature of these shelf pegs is the self-locking tabs that secure the 3/4 in. Thick shelves in place, preventing tipping and rotating of shelves. The 1/4 in. Outside diameter pegs have a 5/16 in. Depth and feature serrated stems for a stronger grip. See U 9398N numbers u-10181 for 5/8 in. Thick shelves and u-11301 for 3/8 in. Thick shelves (W/5mm. Outside diameter peg). * ADJUSTMENT tip: to remove and relocate these Support pegs, the tabs which lock in the shelves must be pushed in and held in while twisting the shelf upward in a clockwise direction if lifting the shelf from the left side. If shelf will be lifted upward starting from the right side, push and hold in the locking tabs of the Support pegs (on the right) while twisting the shelf upward in a counter-clockwise direction from the right side. To accomplish this task a third or fourth hand may be required. Another option would be to slide in a couple of old credit cards or business cards in between the shelfft.s edge and the locking tab of the Support pegs... this may assist causing the locking tabs to be pressed in by the cards when pushing up on one side of the shelf. Make sure the cards to be used are no longer needed as it is possible they will scratch and no longer be useful. Once the shelf is removed from its supports, the supports can be pulled out from the cabinet and relocated to desired height.

Actually Fit Perfect!

I been searching for shelf pegs so I could add more shelves on my pantry. Went to every hardware store in the area, no one had them. All my other cabinets use 5mm, but of course NOT this pantry brand. As usual these major stores, sell products but never the parts for them. But these pegs were an actual match finally! Don't know how long they will last, but for now they fit perfect! Will buy extra just in case. NOTE: the pin holes on my pantry are not as deep as the other cabinets, so these were perfect. Make sure you measure correctly before buying.

Does not fit with all builders grade cabinets

Unlike the previous reviews it does NOT fit with all standard builders grade cabinets. It was too big. What I ended up doing was using a 1/4 drill bit to expand the existing holes To make it work since I just needed a couple replaced. Make sure to measure before you buy.

Sturdy but thick.

Good product, but thicker material than original brackets. I had to plane one end of each shelf to get it to fit past the bracket. Looks like they will hold up well.

Was able to replace broken pins quickly. The pins were easy to install and they are very sturdy. I ordered two more sets to replace other pins

A solid option for cabinets with shallow mounting holes

If my shelves were the right thickness to use this clip, I'd have loved it. Wish they were available for 1" thick shelves, but they don't seem to be. Durability as outstanding, and they do a great job locking the shelf in place. Only minor complaint is price, they were only about 20% cheaper than local big box. (of course, the big box doesn't stock 'em, so...) Guess I am spoiled on Amazon pricing vs big box, especially on items like these.

and these where better quality than the ones the cabinet came with

Needed to replace one of these in a bathroom cabinet, and these where better quality than the ones the cabinet came with! The bit that goes in the existing hole was a bit smaller than I needed, but as it sits flush in the cabinet it made no difference to its usability.
