Almost perfect...

I've used the thinner car seat mats in the past. They had many problems: * they didn't go high enough * they were too thin causing deep impressions of the child seats in the car seats * they did not prevent child seats from sliding So when we got a new car with nice leather seats I decided to look around for a better solution. I came across the Prince Lionheart 2-Stage Seatsaver and it solves (almost) all these issues. * The material is thick enough to protect the seat fabric. * The bottom of the Seatsaver is lined with rubber creating a non-slip surface. it was a lot easier to install than our previous mats. * The only reason the Seatsaver gets a mere 4 stars is the fact that the back protector is still not quite tall enough. We have Britax seats and their backs can leave deep indentations in the seats. The Seatsaver is neither tall enough to cover a captain's chair nor a regular one. So I found myself extending the area to be protected with towels to prevent any damage. I guess my ideal car seat protector would be tall enough to go all the way up a car seat and then back down. The reason why is the rear tether whose straps wrap around the top of the seat. Left unprotected you will be left with deep impressions from the tether straps. Prince Lionheart could take their design further and simply create additional velcro sections that can be attached to perfectly fit any situation. Other than that I'm extremely happy with this product.

Pee Blocker + Works Great in 2011 Sienna

The Prince Lionheart Seat Saver works very well and provides many benefits! I had some reservations, but was very surprised how well this seat saver works! My initial concerns were how secure the car seat would sit on top of it and whether my car's seat cushions would really be protected. CAR SEAT SECURITY ================= I am using 2 Britax Marathon car seats and the seat saver works fine. By properly tightening the car seat there is no sliding at all. The car seats are just as with the seat saver as without it. (FYI: My tests were done using LATCH to connect the car seats to the the fabric seats of my 2011 Toyota Sienna's 2nd row seats). PROTECTION ========== I was initially concerned that the front, dangling flap would not adequately protect my car's fabric seats from the shoes of my kids as they climbed into their car seats. The semi-rigid material of the seat saver ensures that the flap doesn't move around as kids move around on it. The flap also has enough length to protect your cars' seats even though it seems a bit short in the photo. As an added bonus, the molded shape of the seat saver is actually able to catch and hold some pee if your kid (who is diaper trained) forgets the diaper training while asleep during a long car ride. CONCLUSION ========== This seat saver works very well and looks nice too. After removing the seat saver after a long car trip, the car's seat cushions looked fine.

it's in good quality 4.5 start, easy to install. and can effectively prevent the food/drink to stain your seat. The only thing is it not well attached (kids my pull the pad when trying to getting to the car, because the long edge out side), you have to adjust it every several days.

Saved my Seats from Winter Feet

Now that my son is kicking his feet and winter is here this seat protector is all sorts of a mess. I got this originally to keep food he eats in the car from grinding it the seat or staining it, and to prevent the Car Seat Impression from setting into the fabric. The best part of this I see now is the front flap that covers the area an adults knees bend at has saved my seat from wet feet dripping salt and mud onto the fabric. I can't even describe how gross that area has become from his shoes after walking outside this winter. This is a MUST HAVE if you care about your fabric IMHO. I don't have this for my other kid who is still in the baby carrier seat, but once she is in a full out Car seat I will be getting more of these. The price seems high until you see how much it protects. Install was not hard, but a little annoying. The item has "folds" from shipping and it does not layout nice, so you have to place it in the area and then put the seat on it and move things around until its right. Only takes a few minutes though, over all not bad.

BEST Car Set Cover out there!!

From reading alllll of the other comments on various car seat covers i chose this one. There are NOT alot of choices on the market, however this is the "Bentley" of car seat covers. It is thick enough to keep car seat marks from setting into your seats and dose get all spills. The bottom hsngs down low enough that my 2 1/2yr old (3ft) son isnt kicking the seat. We just bought a new top of the line awd mini van and the last thing i wanted was messed up seats. Just keep in mind if you have light seats order the grey one. If you have dark seats order the black one. It does state if the inside of your car reaches something like over 100 deg color from car seat cover could transfer... Hence ordering the right color (grey/black) would keep this from happening. We have leather cream interior and live in CA. We have NOT had any probsb i will be ordering anthr one to keep in trunk for when other ppl are in the car that have a child in a car seat.

Does what it's supposed to do.....

I bought this because we just bought a nice, new[er] SUV with leather seats in anticipation of our first baby. We chose leather because we didn't want to deal with the susceptibility of cloth to staining. I then realized that the car seat would probably make permanent indentations on the seat and thus began my search for the seat saver. I saw this in Babies R Us and immediately pulled out my handy dandy smart phone and scanned it in hopes of finding a cheaper vendor. I saw it on Amazon and bought it before I left the store. It arrived well before I expected it to, as well. The cover itself does the job. I gave it 4 because it does what it's supposed to do and does it well, but doesn't do much after that. It didn't have any fancy fastening or storage features. If you can deal without that, get it.

We used these to protect our backseats. We have leather seats and we did not want them damaged. These did the trick. We had these for a few years and they don't move. They are great.

Recommanded, Good protection.

Very good protection between your seat. Get one for each of your car. It's well worth it. Although some dirty still get to your seat from the seat belt hole but it's much easier to clean.
