Doesn't take too long

I like that I don't have to make an entire pot and I can change my beverage choice to tea, coffee, or hot chocolate.

Basic, simple, compact, ok

Very basic, no options or settings, one button, ok coffee but watery if you don’t go with a dark roast. The 40 ounce tank seems like a good idea at first but when it’s all the way filled it takes forever to heat up. You will not get a quick cup of coffee if the tank is full. You’ll be waiting twice as long for your coffee to actually be brewed. It’s really compact & not bulky at all, which is nice if that’s what you’re going for (I was) It’s also simply designed so it’s very easy to use. But it’s One button with no other options or functions. You can’t see the inside all the way down so you can’t tell if you’ve run out of water, but the machine shuts itself off if it’s low on water which is good. However, There’s nothing to tell you that the water is out or that the coffee maker has shut itself off because the water is out. So if you set it and forget it you’ll come back to an empty Mug. Running out happens after only 4 cups of coffee, again there are no settings or options, so you press the button and it brews. It is the same amount of water no matter where the mug and base are placed. It says that you can get more cups but I get 4 cups of coffee from the 40 ounces. Every time. It appears to be made well but for some reason it’s a little wobbly & never sits exactly on the counter.

That being said, it was delivered with a gash so big in the box I don’t know how it wasn’t damaged. There was no padding on the inside either to protect it except for the top and bottom, but that’s not where it was kicked in.

I don't feel that it is as advertised.

I thought I would get a good product since I am familiar with Proctor Silex products. However, what I have found is that I have to fill the 40 ounce reservoir after making only 2 10 ounce cups of coffee. Since I use a 15 ounce mug, I only get about 1/2 cup of coffee. Then there is a 2 minute wait before I can run it again. I am still using it but very disappointed in this coffee maker. I will be looking for something better since I drink nothing but coffee all day.

I should have read the reviews. This is just like some of what I experienced. It holds 40 ounces is says. I want a 20 oz cup of coffee. Logically, I should be able to get 20 ounces by running it twice. Sometimes it give me 3/4 of what I want, sometimes it runs over the top. Tricking it into two cups is no big deal but having to mess with not getting my full cup without making a mess or having to pour little bits in at a time to fill my cup is just too much. This is a fatal defect, so is going back.

Some good benefits but I haven't owned it long enough to give it 5 stars

I don't expect this machine to last longer than 2 years - other models I've had (including Keurig) give up the ghost quickly. But so far I like it. The big reservoir and lid makes it easy to fill. The max water line is easy to see. I also like that I don't have to refill it every time because of the larger reservoir. Another plus: it will fit many cups and thermal bottle sizes and it has an extra basket for ground coffee (which is lots cheaper than pods).

Not working as required

It stopped giving a correct brewing level 2 months after purchase. The only way to get the level required was to hold the on / off in untill correct level & coffee was not as hot as it shoul be.
