This sprinkler’s Matched Precipitation Rate allows it to be used in any combination with other Rain Bird fixed and adjustable pattern sprays. Additional 1800 Series features include: Heavy-duty stainless steel spring to assure flush retraction, every time. Exclusive co-molded wiper seal features an encased plastic "cage" to provide unmatched resistance to grit, pressure and the environment. Pressure-activated, multi-function seal design assures a positive seal without excess “flow-by” allowing more heads to be installed on the same valve. Tapered pop-up neck helps remove debris during retraction while a precision controlled flushing action also clears debris to assure positive stem retraction in all soil types. Two-piece ratchet mechanism allows easy nozzle pattern alignment without tools and provides extra durability. All sprinkler components are removable from the top without special tools; providing for quick and easy flushing and maintenance. Spray Nozzle details: Preinstalled 90° quarter circle pattern MPR spray nozzle. Trusted for decades, Rain Bird MPR Nozzles feature Matched Precipitation Rate water distribution technology. Non-corrosive plastic and stainless steel construction for long life. Simple stainless steel top adjustment screw decreases or increases spray distance from 8' to 15'. "Captured" screw slot prevents screwdriver slippage during adjustment. White medium mesh filter screen protects nozzle from clogging and maintains precise radius adjustment. No tools needed to change nozzle. Operates efficiently at low water pressure; 1/2" inlet size.
