Threading issues on my latest order

I've used these connectors many times, and they have always worked great. No leaking, no deterioration with weather, no issues at all. I'm a big fan of Ranbird in general. I'm putting in another garden area, and ordered four of these. None of them would screw on to a standard hose end more than two twists. I tried them on various different hose ends to make sure it wasn't the hose. Same issue. Went and looked at some old ones to verify that they did indeed screw all the way in. They did. So I the connection leaked. I Didn't want to reorder and have the same issue, so I did the unthinkable - ventured out to an actual store. My local Save More Money store was out of this fitting. Grr.

Finally found them - Can’t get at HD or Lowes

I finally found these fittings that my dog chewed up. I bought similar ones at Home Depot, Lowes and even a plumbing specialty store in town but the heads were all too big for the tree bubblers I use. Ironically, the same tree bubbler heads I buy at Home Depot or Lowes. These are great, the slide right into the drip line at the base of the tree and provide the perfect amount of water with the adjustable head.

Fittings work!!!

I like that they fit 1/2 and 5/8" drip irrigation pipe just like they are supposed to fit don't even think about needing clamps.

Wrong Thread - don't fit a hose spigot

Description state female hose thread. Unit received is female pipe thread. They are not compatible.

May need an adapter for the unit its connecting too.

Fast delivery. Looks great and durable. Easy to install. Unfortunately I need to get an adapter to attach this to my control unit. Not sure if the big end fits a hose size I want to say it didnt. Other end worked great for my rain bird distribution line.

not standard garden hose size

does not fit a garden hose which I was hoping it would. It is a 5/8 not 3/8. I should have checked before ordering, otherwise good quality and i will find another use for it I am sure.

Careful! Not for standard 1/2 drip hose size!

NOT for any standard 1/2" drip irrigation hose. I guess it's for a different ID. Description could be well revised to reflect this. It's a well made fitting and I'm sure it's great but it only works with the 1/2" drip irrigation hose made by this company. Little did I know. Pictured next to a standard 1/2" hose barb. I bought these in January unfortunately and didn't see the other review that mentioned this, oops.

Incredibly Useful

With this lovely unit you can go straight from a 1/2" female valve to a 1/2 inch rainbird drip tube, replacing a lot of bothersome hardware. Nothing else does that. Note: not for standard 1/2 inch poly hose. :-) Rainbird only. No clamp needed.
