It is excellent for service where immediate pressurization is necessary. It also breaks out easily without galling, seizing, or damaging threads. Its low coefficient of friction allows tighter joint makeup with lower torque. These fibers dispersed in a resinous base combined with inert mineral fillers provide maximum sealing performance. Non-hardening thread sealant containing PTFE plus synthetic fibers. Manufacturer: Rectorseal. Country of manufacture: United States. Adhesives & Sealants.

Works great for sealing pipes!
This product works great for sealing pipe. I always used plumbers tape so I decided to give it a try. Since I never used this product before I decided to use plumbers tape and also applied this product. I did not end up with any leaks once so ever at my well. I tried just this product no plumbers tape on pipe under sink and it worked like a charm, no leaks. The product is hard to wash off if you get it on you but it is worth using it. GOOD PRODUCT!

No leaks
Used this pipe sealant while installing water system, don't like to use Teflon on plastic housing, so used T-2 only and been Three Days at 52 psi water supplied and no leaks, just make sure you stir it first, wear rubber gloves can be messy.

USE IT CORRECTLY
There seems to be some complaints on Amazon about this product. It work flawlessly for me but here's the thing, you need to mix the paste and when you apply it make sure the suspended 'strings' or 'fibers' are visible in the mix. The paste itself doesn't do the work, it's the fibers that the paste holds together that does it

Works great, better than Teflon tape

A bunch of goop, but works wonders...
Despite how much I hate applying this stuff, this is the only stuff that works pretty much every time I put it on a connection unless I forgot to put some in the backside of a thread. This time around, I was trying to seal some couplings to my water heater by using PFTE tape only, but only to have to take it apart again once the connections started leaking. Instead of using PFTE tape, I just slapped a liberal amount of this goop on the threaded connections and then tighten the connections back up. No leaks! Some people say the connections are stronger when both are being used, but I never really had issues with just using this compound by itself. Since this sealant does not dry up and stays pretty much goopy at all times, it does get pretty much everywhere (on the connections, on your hands, on your shirt, etc), especially if you applied a liberal amount on the connections. It has a consistency that is similar to petroleum jelly, so it's not something that can just be washed off with water (although it does rinse out slightly easier than petroleum jelly would). If you are going to be working with this, make sure you are wearing clothing you do not care too much for. One good side to this goopiness is that it serves to lubricate the connections so that if you happen to want to undo the connections in the future it does not get frozen or stuck. I think this is a good buy considering that it works every time and that it is also cheaper on Amazon compared to what I can get in the local hardware shop.

Great for leaky garden hose connections
This stuff is great. I was having a lot of trouble getting a couple of garden hose connections to stop leaking using teflon tape for my automatic irrigation. I removed the tape, dried the threads, and applied this and it all my leaks magically disappeared! I've used it on 8 different connections so far and it always works first try! It does make a bit of a mess if you're not careful. I took the advice of other reviews and worse some disposable gloves while applying it and was glad I did.
