Hard to use

I bought this along with silicone solvent spray to help replace caulk on part of my rub. It took hours to prep an 18" section. I expected a faster result.

Single-use tool

Tool works okay for removing caulk. It wears quickly. I used a utility knife to resharpen a few times until it finally just broke. Finished the work with a razor blade. Definitely a single-use disposable tool.

Smooth caulk, at affordable prices!!

Initially screamed when my wife came home with this, as I thought my caulk was already pretty smooth, and we hadn't discussed any plans to remove it. I guess it got the job done, and everyone in the family appreciates how smooth the caulk is now. Will defer removing for now, and hopefully for forseeable future.

Save your money!

The prongs on the scraping tool broke immediately as I started using them. Garbage! First the claw, so I decided to forgive that and use the point. Then it broke when it touched the caulking.

Removal Side is Garbage

Smoothing side is fine. Can't really mess that up. The removal/scrapping side is worthless. Edges immediately bend and dull. Points flatten on first touch. Whole head cracked after about 18" of work. Finished the rest of the shower with a flat Razer scrapper. WAY better and faster than this junk.

Good shape but not durable.

I am halfway through removing some old caulk around my tub. The shape of this tool is awesome but the "blade" is already completely gone. I have managed to "sharpen" it a little with a utility knife so I think I may be able to get through this job. You aren't going to get more than one use out of this thing. When the tool was still new I was pleased with the shape though. It just needs better plastic. It doesn't scratch my tub or the tub surround which is good but it's looking like it may not get through one small job though so buyer beware or at least buyer buy more than one.

Save your money

Definitely not for heavy duty caulk removing. I was trying to remove the old silicone caulk from around the tub, and the tip immediately wore down. Had much better luck using a single edge razor blade in a holder.
