Great gate

Very affordable compared to similar gates. It's not easy to find one that's so wide that isn't outrageously priced. You can adjust it to fit most spaces. Ours has been up for a few months. I have a very skiddish cat and a new dog. This gate is perfect for my needs. Highly recommended

Easy to use and sturdy!

We bought this more to keep dogs in and babies out. It is easy to install and super sturdy. It does screw I to the wall but it has been worth it for us - 2 big dogs and 2 tiny babies need their separate spaces lol

It works.

This product not only looks great but it is strong enough to hold back my 12 month old who has the strength of a small horde of zombies who just realized there was a human when they haven’t seen one in years. This baby shakes this gate more than Cardi B sakes her… assets. She bites down on this gate harder than a shark going after an unknown surfer and this gate doesn’t even budge. So yeah, 10/10 would recommend.

Love that I can adjust it to different angles and length. Fits perfectly to divide my room from my kids. My 4 year old did learn how to open it very quickly but my 1 year old is kept in his playroom. Easy to install. Only thing I wish is that it were harder to learn to open. Other than that I love it.

Easy install trick

I purchased this gate for a 72" opening. It fits well and was easy to adjust. I've noticed that several reviews indicate that installation was difficult due to the gate getting in the way. You can unscrew the knobs at the top of the gate and pull it out of the brackets until install is complete. This makes it very simple and the bars are nowhere near you while mounting the brackets. The walkthrough door is simple to operate, and has a lock so that my baby won't figure it out anytime soon. My dog is very thankful that her water bowl is no longer being dumped every time I turn my back. Update: I've had this gate a little over a year now, and my son recently learned how to open it, so we now tie a piece of fabric around the handle to stop him. One of the top brackets cracked due to attempting to adjust the gate while it was too tight, but that was easily remedied with a couple of zip ties. Overall the gate has functioned well and held up beautifully in a house with 3 growing boys and a big dog.

Perfect for irregular doorways but scratches floor.

Overall this gate fits our needs very well. We have three kids, ages 1, 5, and 7. The layout of our house makes it difficult to use a regular gate. The entrance to our living room is on a corner between the kitchen and the stairs. When our older kids were small we had to use two gates to block the kitchen and stairs separately, but this still allowed access to the hallway with the bedrooms/bathroom. This was not a problem at the time as we could just shut the doors. Now, with a baby and older kids, our needs had changed as we knew our kids were likely to try to climb over gates or leave their bedroom doors open (and they have small toys in their bedrooms). We wanted something safe for baby but practical for older kids. We found this gate and it fits perfectly into the doorway of our living room while still allowing us to walk through to the kitchen. It has been sturdy enough and quality is as expected for the price. It moves a bit at the joints when my kids lean on it but this has probably kept it from pulling at the wall, it is the only baby gate we have used that has not damaged the wall in some way. My biggest complaint about this gate is it sits directly on the floor and is able to wiggle a bit at the corners. This has scratched our floors badly. Probably some felt pads would have prevented this but the damage was done before we thought about using them. I would have rated this 4 stars but I took away an additional star for scratching the floors.

Good gate

This gate is great it was a little short for where I needed to install it but we made it work. It keeps the little ones safe when I am cooking in the kitchen. I have concerns about my 2 year old eventually figuring out how to unlatch it..the little red latch attracts her...however she is not able to maneuver the lever and lift the latch at the same time. * update 2 years later plastic on the gate snapped and it’s unusable... but it lasted 2 years so for the price it’s still a good deal.
