Switched from Reuzel Pink a couple months ago and couldn’t be more happy. This is no knock on the Pink, but Green is fantastic for my hair. I have 1.5”in. slicked back hair, and Reuzel Green has fantastic hold while the hair is still pliable, and has an excellent shine. As much as I really enjoyed Reuzel Pink, it would have a tendency to “ball” up. With the Green there is no balling at all. And lastly, Green washes out fairly easy, I use Dawn dish soap or Head and Shoulders.

Excellent oil based pomade
The quest for the perfect pomade is half the fun. Like seeking the perfect martini. For those who prefer oil based, this product is exceptional. Great hold, decent shine, subtle scent, and hair remains soft and stylable most of day. Another fave is Dax Wave and groom. Didn't care for Lockhart's Goon grease ---- too much wax in formula. Left hair dry and hard in a few hours.

Large Wave Hair, Meet Controlling Grease
I've been using the company for several years. I used to use the red can of medium hold, but didn't like how it melted in the heat. I found this stuff let's my wave out while keeping it from going wild. Not sure about applying two fingers worth like in the video but to each their own. I personally only use.about a teaspoon worth every other day with a little in between.

Works great smells great
I’ve been growing my hair out for a few months now and as someone who always had super short hair, I had no idea how to style it. My barber turned me on to this and it has been absolutely incredible. You don’t need a lot so it’s nice and light, it also doesn’t make it look like you have a ton of product in your hair when you use it. The hold is perfect as well. Easy to work with

Exceptional Product when Used Correctly
This is a great product, but you have to know how to use it and whether or not it is the best fit for your hair/what look you are going for. I am caucasian with with medium/fine hair. I have a standard side part, and have my hair close on the sides. My usual "go-to" hair product is "Work Hard" molding paste by Redken. Great product that provides strong hold without "stiffness". REUZEL is different from this in that it is a pomade and holds the general shape of your hair, but does not lock it in place, *unless you use a large amount. The thing is though, this product gives your hair a 2-day "unwashed" look with just a small amount. Some people can pull this look off, but you have to be careful, otherwise you just look greasy. The instruction say to apply to "towel-dried" hair, however, I have found that it is better to apply to completely, bone dry hair. If you try to apply this while moisture is present, it pulls on your hair when you try to apply it. Also, this product doesn't glide into your hair like other products, so after you put a dime-sized portion in your hands, rub your hands together to warm it up/thin it out and then grab handfuls of your hair to apply it, starting with the areas that need the strongest hold: Part/callick/bangs. If this is the first time using this product, you might want to try the smaller size first to see if this goes with your hair/style. This product may take a little experimentation/getting use to, so perhaps don't use this for the first time when you're in a rush. The scent is very mild. One reviewer said the scent was too fruity and overpowering. That's just not true. The scent is minor, fresh melon. No stronger than a mild-scented shampoo. I've been using this product off an on for several months, and I have not noticed any increase in skin breakouts/acne that I was concerned about when putting a product on my head that contains the word "grease". In conclusion, this product really does best when it is used either in large quantities to gives a pompadore-style look extreme hold and sheen with thick/full/short hair, or in very small amounts to give a natural 'unwashed' look for thin/medium/long hair. Where have you been all my life?
The only thing I don't like about this product is that i didn't start using it sooner. My hair has always been impossible to work with, but this product makes it very manageable. I love it. It provides wonderful controll, but does not make my hair stiff. It remains very soft and not as greasy as the name might imply. However, it is important to point out that this formula does not wash out easily. For me, that is actually a good thing. I am a truck driver and can't wash my hair every day anyway. With this product I can just comb my hair in the morning, perhaps with a little of Reusel hair tonic, and I'm good to go. Reuzel does sell shampoos that are designed to wash the grease out and you will eventually need to invest in one from them or from another company if you ever want to get it completely out. Or purchase a water based pomade of you want it to wash out more easily. I cannot speak to how well they perform, but I would expect any product you purchase from Reuzel to be excellent. I have tried pomades from other companies, but nothing has compared to Reuzel. Also, consider purchasing directly from them if you want a better selection, different sizes, better prices, etc. Great company, great products. I think I will be a fan for life. Thank you.

Good pomade just not for me
I'm still going through the can it has a very nice hold and strong scent but it's a tad to greasy for me. My hair feels super oily by the touch. It does the job right just not what I was looking for. I still have 5 stars because my hair does look good with it. Just need something softer...

Perfect for controlling long fine hair
Due to all hairdressers getting shutdown for most of last year I now have shoulder length hair that I tie back. However, my hair breaks and so it's been looking kind of frizzy. I've tried a few cheaper water based products and I've been very impressed. This stuff is amazing though. My hair actually looks really cool now. Thanks! Will be buying again. And as other people have said this stuff smells great.

Somewhat disappointed
I bought this to keep my hair in place and also keep it frizz-free, and I'm disappointed that it doesn't do either well. It can keep my hair in place for a few second before my hair starts to move again, and it puts a shine on my hair that somewhat makes it look a bit less frizzy, but not quite. I think the worst of all, is that it takes away much volume of my hair, I look like I have much less hair. The only good thing I can think of, is that this is easy to wash off, I just need to wash my hair with shampoo the usual way, and it comes off in 1 wash. I won't buy this again and can't recommend it.

The best...
... modern hair grease you can buy with a lovely apple smell. Works into the hair easily and can be styled with no problems. I find this preferable to Reuzels water-based pomade that is far too stiff for me. If you can manage the washing out, I find the old-fashioned formulas (Sweet Georgia Brown. Murrays) give a shinier finish and are more pliable. Having said that, anyone who uses pomade regularly won't be disappointed with this.

Simply great pomade!
I am new to the world of pomaded and so decided to give this a try after watching a couple of reviews on You Tube. Firstly the tin looks cool. It smells great and gives a really nice soft sheen and good hold. Unlike 'salon' products that o have previously used, this can be restyled throughout the day if needed. Only thing to be aware of is this is a proper wax, not a water based pomade, and so is tricky to wash out. As my hair is naturally greesy o don't like too much build up so, you need to do one of two things to remove. Either need a little bit of bicarbonate of soda adding to your deep cleansing shampoo or apply some Aussie 3 minute miracle MOIST ten minutes before shampooing. The latter works best! I've enjoyed the Reuzel Green so much I've now ordered a tin of the new Reuzel Pink (heavy hold) & will post an update on that in the near future.

Purchased as a first time oil based user after predominantly using unorthodox water based. Wish I'd bought this sooner! Fantastic control and restylability, this is a top class product and earns it's place in my permanent rotation. The only downside to me is the scent,its a little sweet but that's obviously subjective based on the person. Highly recommended!
