The best hand held

For a pocket sized (or tool-bag sized) pipe cutter this is nice. There are cheaper options but take my advice and don't buy them. Most of them I have tried couldn't efficiently cut a straw, let alone a pipe. Keep in mind this is for your DIY folks or hobbyists. It's not industrial grade so don't buy this thinking you can use it on all the copper pipe you'll need to plumb in your new home addition. It's not made for that kind of use but if you need to cut a pipe made of thin softer metal (copper, brass, etc) once in a while then this will do just fine.

A great little tool, but it's missing a part

So far, this cutter has proven to be accurate and simple to use. However, the product description says there's a "spare wheel stored in the knob". I certainly can't find one, and the package doesn't mention it. Their Model 101 does in fact include a spare, but not this one.

Smooth, perfect cuts… almost zero deburring

I had a 20 year old work car with a brake line rusted through behind the engine, where insulation had collected moisture. I used this to cut the rusted section out on both sides of the engine and also to cut the new replacement line to size. I have never used a product of this kind before. However, it was easy. It took longer to cut the galvanized steel line on the car than to cut the nickel copper replacement line. However, all the cuts flared perfectly with very little cleanup. Good thing, too, because my deburring tool broke. I now want a larger version for plumbing emergencies.

Excellent Product

I've used this pipe cutter extensively during the rebuild of my classic car, and it has worked really well, even cutting kunifer and stainless steel with ease.

Very smooth at cutting and little so you can use it in tight placed. Just so you know, 1/2" pipe is the biggest you can cut

This is great. Solid construction

This is great. Solid construction, i use it to cuy 8mm and 10mm copper heating pipes and since i quite often have to do it live the speed of cut is important. Leaves a clean end to work to and self tightens (or cuts all the way through once tightened a bit))
