Sturdy but the metal bar is not shaped properly

Did not come with instructions. The L shape bar is not shaped properly, resulting in a gap. The metal is so sturdy that it doesn't bend to close that gap. I tried hammering it but didn't work. I emailed the ringside customer support directly, twice, and they never responded to my emails. I ended up picking up some rubber washers to slip into the gaps to reduce the vibration and noise of metal clinging.
