Fits true to size...

These are very well crafted. Sturdy yet lightweight and comfortable. Non-slip. Rockport has a longstanding name as a quality brand and I can see why. I was not disappointed with my purchase.

The shoes are everything that was outlined in the company write up. The size was accurate and the quality of the workmanship was of the appropriate standard. To conclude, I am happy with the purchase.

Would definitely buy again!

Quality boots! Fit my size 16, with room for my Superfeet insoles. The original insoles were kind of subpar, but I anticipated this. Fit is on par with what I expect from Rockport. Plenty of room for thick wool socks as well. For reference, I wear a 17 in Nike, Asics, and Under Armor. All medium width.

They look better than they feel

Exterior of the shoe feels fake and the fit on my feet is poor. The insole is junk. Will try different insoles…

Pleather (or bonded leather), not high-quality leather

I was a bit disappointed in these boots because they looked great in the pictures. In reality, they are sort of a plasticky pleather or bonded leather, rather than the real thing. I don't anticipate them wearing very well and they are not terribly comfortable, although I've gotten some positive comments on them when I wear them. In the future I will probably buy my shoes in a store to avoid this nonsense, but I thought with the Rockport name and high-ish price I would be getting higher quality than this.

Great looking boot

As others mentioned, not super padded or supportive. But I anticipated that. Great looking boot. I normally wear a 10…could have gone 9.5 and been happier.

Okay for the (discounted) price; Wide fit could be a bit wider and there's no arch support.

I don't know why, but I've struggled to find wide chukka boots at a reasonable price. I have a very high instep, and go up to EEE in some shoe brands, even with an accommodating last (think Alden's Barrie last for reference.) I saw these clunky round-toe Rockports on sale at Amazon and gave 'em a try. First, the most disappointing thing to me is the brown coloring. In both the official product and customer pictures, there is a notable burnishing in the heel and toe areas. Mine are a solid medium brown, no visible burnishing. I can recreate that with some darker polish over time, but I was hoping these would have that nice burnishing. Mine don't. In the wide size, the toe box is nice and roomy. However, the middle section and instep are a bit snug for me. If you normally wear a single E then you may not have an issue with this; for me and my sometimes-EEE feet, it's a minor issue. I am hopeful they will loosen up a bit as they break in, and assuming this is real leather, they should. There is almost zero arch support, and I don't find the Rockport insoles to be anything special despite their "Trutech" label. Any generic gel insole will be more shock absorbing, and even a modest amount of arch support would be welcome. For the price I paid, I'm probably complaining too much. The overall fit is okay, maybe slightly long as some have noted. But I looked at chukkas twice the price at DSW and Nordie Rack and none were as comfortable as these. Yes they are a bit clunky and I prefer a more elongated toe over the round toe on these, but overall they are a good value. In fact, I like them enough that I am tempted to buy another pair in suede!

My go-to sping/fall boot

I'm coming back to this 3 years after I purchased because I surprisingly keep getting compliments from random people when wearing it. It's held up pretty well over the years. Aside from spring/fall, I'll wear it on dry winter (salty Ottawa) days but have gotten them wet in salty slush at times. Have only really wiped them down and put mink oil once but they still look great. Pre-covid, they used to withstand my 45 minute walks to work. Not waterproof but could also be worse in the rain too. Overall, a great product.

Attractive boot, runs too large

I like the style of the boot, looks quite sharp with a wool coat. The issue is, and as reported by others, it really does run large. I ordered a half size smaller, and even then it's still too big. You will have to buy a full size smaller than your usual, otherwise you'll be forced to return them.
