Break in complete - Good fit

I have walked around the neighborhood in these for about a month or so. I plan on hunting in them this fall. One important note on comfort. I found that if you line up the lace flaps over the top of the foot before you tighten the laces, they will be much more comfortable. If you just lace and pull tight, one side will tighten more than the other and will cause more pressure on that side and some discomfort on the tight side.

I love them

I love these boots I love the look I love the fit I love the tread. These are the most comfortable boots I’ve ever owned and took two days to break them in and they’ve been extremely comfortable ever cents my only gripe is that for me 200 g insulation wasn’t quite to my expectations. In my part of Oregon we have mild winters but after a couple of 30° mornings I realize that 200 g was not enough for my dainty pathetic feet. I should’ve bought a little heavier gram boot. I am very proud to own these boots and will definitely use them a lot. I ended up buying the Rocky logger boot. The longer boot is not as comfortable as the bear claw, but still extremely comfortable, and I love them as well. If I were to do it all over again, I would buy a 500 g bear club boot. But 200 g for a fall or spring boot ( now that I own them) will be an awesome option from here on out. These are my favorite boots I’ve ever owned.

Awesome pair of boots

Rocky bearclaw boots ,are awesome. My last pair that I owned,I had for 5 years,and wore them completely out. If anyone wants my opinion, I would tell them ,that rocky boots are well worth the price,and the comfort. I have never had a more comfortable pair of boots,and were delivered earlier than i expected. Im very pleased with the rocky boot company, keep up the good work !!!!!!!!!

Comfortable right out of the box!

Still new, only worn once but so far so good! Very comfortable. little warm for California hunting (summer) but should work great come fall chasing elk

Love the boots

I am writing this review and giving it four stars only because the description on Amazon really was tough to figure out that they had 200 grams of Thinsulate. The boot does have 200 grams. I wish it was more at the 400 or 600 gram range but then you run into problems with a boot becoming more stiff and heavier. The the boot itself is really a joy to wear. Actually I'm looking for excuses to put them on and go outside because they are so comfortable and fit me perfectly. I have received a number of boots through the mail and these I actually tried to order in a size 12 EE. They were little bit tighter than I wanted so Amazon quickly took them back and gave me the 13 EE which fit me great. It gives me a little bit extra room for insulated socks. The leather is so soft and comfortable that you forget that they are on. This is what I expect in a boot. No break-in needed. The lasing is quick and snug and as you release the quick lace holders, the boot easily slips on and off your feet without having to pull or tug at all. I am very much impressed with these boots and would rate them higher than 4 stars except for the fact that you really can't find out in the description how much thinsulate that they actually have and the exchange I had to make for fit. I think 200 grams will be okay if I use some insulated socks this winter but the nice thing is I don't have to use it in the summer and can still wear the boots so perhaps that's a plus. Overall very satisfied with these boots and I would recommend them highly.

I might be a rocky boot guy for life now.

I own a a few danner boots and chippewas both great boots but got these for hunting and right out the box the wife and I said dang them are a good looking boot. So I figured I would wear them for a week at work to break in so I tried them on next morning and wow it was like walking on clouds never wore a more comfortable boot in my life. Needless to say I didn't even wear them all week to break in and have hunted un them 2 times and they are awesome! I even had my coworker try them on and was like omg these are like a mattress I could fall asleep walking in them. Honestly most comfortable boot I've ever had on in my 50 years and this is a honest not paid review. I will try the steel toes next for work.

Military TOUGH and stylish... these are the ones you want!

What an AMAZING boot. Having worn Rockies in the military, I set out to buy a pair S2Vs which I planned on wearing for hiking and outdoor work. I had explanations ready as to why I was wearing combat boots. Then I saw these. Leather. Look great... almost formal. I gave them a try. So glad I did. These are my favorite boots ever!!!! For military folks, you will feel right at home in these... like an old friend. They are amazingly light and incredibly tough. The traction is as good as I had hoped... the picture gives you the impression that you could walk up a cliff and you darn near can. I recently made a muddy, snowy hike in the Smokies and really gave them a workout. Yes, they were aw some to hike in! Here's the thing though, when I got back, I hosed them off, put on a litttle brown shoe polish and gave them a quick brush. Thanks to the leather, they look brand new again. Hard to wear anything else lately!

Not made in China!!!!!

I have found only a few company's that have not sold out to the profits and manufacture in China or Asia, they do not fit. Canada did this years ago with Bauer and many very well made boots made in Canada and our neighbors in the US. These are manufactured in the Dominican Republic, they seem to take pride in what they manufacture.

My favourite boots I own

I like the boots! The fit is perfect.. i wear a size 11 and the fit is great.. I use them for hunting and walking in the woods they keep my feet dry and warm! The grip is awesome, but break them in before long walks... like any other boot!

they are comfortable and appear to be of good quality but I haven't tested them in wet conditions yet so can't comment on water proof performance.

Buenas

Parecen buenos materiales, aunque tuve que amoldarlas una semana, sobre todo porque el último ojillo cerrado de las agujetas cala en la parte interna del tobillo, la marca Danner ese ojillo lo tienen colocado un poco más adentro de la bota para evitar ese problema, pero se ven y se sienten de buena calidad, buena tracción en la suela, solo falta ver cómo se comportan en el monte.
