A Berry Compliant moisture wicking lining provides comfort and wicks away perspiration. Utilizing cutting-edge S2V Sieve™ technology, these boots disperse of water rapidly (better than the usual drain plugs), are breathable and circulate air to keep your feet feeling cool and dry. A Rocky Air-Port™ cushion footbed gives you a comfortable step. You'll have steady footing and arch support due to the fiberglass shank of these S2V boots. The high-walled Vibram® outsole is durable (allows it to last), is lightweight and resists abrasions. Durable and Comfortable Longest Lasting
This is me: A hardworking guy that's been cut off from replacement boots by nearly every modern boot company- true story. I've paid for very expensive, mid tier and even some low priced boots; and none have held up like these Rocky SV2. I've waited years to post this review. I'll put pictures of the maltreated pair complete with paint splatter. I've had to replace the insole multiple times over the years. These boots have worked in the heat of Florida, cold of the Midwest and points between. Have worn them over 24 hours straight on concrete floors many times. Have ran, hiked, weight lifted, worked from footings to rooftop rideges and these are always ready. They have aged, there's separation at the leather and sides of the sole where they attach, yet it's cosmetic and they still have their integrity. I've read other reviews and this is my experience, your mileage may vary and maybe I just got a special pair. The only boots that ever came close were the original Herman Survivors made in Poland nearly 2-decades ago and a pair of Matterhorns. I'd love to have had goretex, but again for how they're made, they performed the best. If you purchase a pair I hope that you have a similar experience. Please work safe, efficiently, enjoy the process and God Bless.

Great boots. Poor sealant.
First off, AMAZING BOOTS. I will always buy Rockys. This is my third pair however, I was really disappointed in the sealant job on this boot. Left foot was ok, but you can see on the right foot there is about half of an inch that's missing sealant. Maybe it's not a big deal, but when you're paying big money for reliable boots that you're committing a few years to, quality matters.

Very expensive, updated version of the Bates Anabon
This is a great duty boot for LE, corrections etc., if a bit overpriced, but should NOT be mistaken for a load-bearing mission-type boot. After serving as a grunt for 12 years, I knew as soon as I put my feet in these, that they would never hold up to real abuse, contrary to some reviews I've seen from some guy who was yammering about carrying a 20-lb ruck. Sorry but my LBE weighed more than that. Heck, I carried more water weight than that. For real grunt-types who routinely have to carry rucks in the 65-80-lb range, this boot would be less than useless. For those loads, for the sake of your feet and joints, stick with Altama, Danner and the usual suspects. Fast-forward a decade or so, to my current occupation in corrections and you have a totally different story. For long days on concrete and steel, these boots will keep your feet cool and comfortable and they are a pretty good looking boot, as well. There's no break-in period necessary and they fit great right out of the box. I can already tell that the sole is going to be trouble. It's really soft and comfy now but it is certainly going to wear quickly. My best guess is that, in my current boot rotation, these MIGHT make it two years. You can bet that, if you're a cheapskate and you wear these every day, you might not even get a year out of these soles. Naturally, if you're in a position where you do a lot of sitting, you'll see it differently. Speaking of the soles.... If you work in an environment where chemical irritants, such as OC, are somewhat omnipresent, watch your step. These are not great on slick concrete, as there isn't a huge surface area of the boot sole that actually makes contact with the surface you're walking on. Just beware. These are what I consider high-end duty/uniform boots and I have no doubt that they will serve perfectly as such. After many years on my feet, footwear is not an area where I'm willing to compromise and the $170.00 price tag phased me not in the least. These replace my last pair of Bate's Anabons (now discontinued) in my current rotation of 2 pairs of Bate's Defenders, 2 pairs of Altama hot weather boots and a pair of Rocky Fort Hood boots. The Fort Hoods are relatively sorry, which explains why you can find them for about $90, all over the internet. These S2Vs are an immediate and dramatic upgrade. I'm expecting great things out of them, which means I'll soon forget that I'm even wearing them. In short, KNOW what you're buying a boot for, then make your purchase. These are not Danners. These are not Matterhorns. These are not Altamas. Don't expect them to hold up to abuse as though they were!

So far so good
I’ve had these for about two months and they’ve help up extremely well. They’re great hiking boots and work well as work boots (they’ve put up with landscaping and fast food). I don’t have any real complaints about the design but I also haven’t put enough miles on them to say they’re perfect, I’ll update this review later.

Fantastic Boot
I have owned this boot in Tan and Coyote. I wore them while in the Army and on deployment. I was looking for new boots for my Civilian job as a Correctional Officer. The job is demanding on your feet, I stand, walk and climb stairs all day. I have had many, many other boots over the last 17 years in the job (Bates, Magnum, Belleville, Nike, Oakley and multiple pairs of the Rocky Paraboot). In the military I have had the typical Standard Issue and Danner’s. Although once I switched to the S2V’s, I concluded pretty quickly.. I will never buy another boot. I was unaware that they came in Black, so I purchased these for my Career in Corrections. I am typically in a 9 running shoe, measured at an 8 - 8.5 wide by the computers in the running shoe stores, that said.. I ordered a 8.5 medium or normal (not wide boot) and they fit me perfectly. Pros: pretty much no break in period (very very little discomfort above the Achilles, went away after day one) , boots are very well constructed and feel like the equivalent of a running boot. -although the black seem to be stiffer than the Tan/Coyote (Completely different leathers) I think that they breathe well, I am in AZ and don’t have an issue with them being too hot in the AZ Summer. Cons: you will read over and over that the tread does wear faster then “normal” boots. These last at most 2 years, the Rocky Paraboot comes in best at about 4 years. I find that the price is worth paying for the comfort these boots provide .. 2 years is more than enough time that you should probably replace your boots anyhow.

"Low Quality & Over Priced."
Very disappointed with the build Quality. The fabric used is not of an international standard, nor for serious individuals or groups. And to top it off the product came damaged

Excellent boot
Gone for countless hikes in these boots. After years of bargain-bin department store brand boots these were a real treat to wear. After they break in they provide excellent ankle support and are supremely comfortable perfect to wear around rugged terrain and awkward features. They have saved my ankles many times from rolls and sprains. At the price point these are unbeatable. Have worn mine hard for a year and they are still going strong.
